Hi Boone!boone90 said:Did anyone recently send inland PR application to CPC Vegreville via CanadaPost?
My application was received by 'CHRISTINE KARAZUB' and I am so worried if it was correctly delivered to the 'Permanent Residence Applications' Department. Because I did not indicate 'Permanent Residence Applications' on the envelope.
Can anyone else please share the signatory name on CanadaPost Tracking??
yes, it is the first stage approved.mujeebshah said:Hello
I have applied for my wife and son's sponsorship. When I check the application status online, I see this:
We received your application for permanent residence on September 20, 2010.
We started processing your application on November 8, 2010.
We received the requested information on March 16, 2011. Thank you for providing the information.
We received the requested information on May 19, 2011. Thank you for providing the information.
A decision has been made and you will be contacted.
Does this mean we have got stage-1 approval?
Thanks
MM
how long its going to take from this point on? We are in Ontario....so are they going to transfer our case to Mississauga office? Is it possible to approach my area MP so they can accelerate the process time?ppmmwanm said:yes, it is the first stage approved.
Hi sir,mujeebshah said:Hello
I am sponsoring my wife and son for Canadian Immigration. They have been living with me in Canada since September 2009. We have got approval for stage-1 and the case is now in stage-2. I have following questions:
1. Can my wife apply for Canadian driving license?
2. Is she eligible for health benefits i.e. can she see a doctor with out non-resident fee?
3. Will their period of stay here in Canada (which is almost two years) would be counted towards their citizenship?
I will appreciate your replies.
Thanks
MM
It really depends. Some people after a couple of weeks get the 2nd stage approval and some people take months and months. By your nickname you are from South Asia, and I don't know how many Police Certificates and things like that they ask for an Indian/Pakistani/etc citizen.mujeebshah said:how long its going to take from this point on? What does an Approval in Principle letter say. Does it specifically say that you have been approved in principal for stage-1? I and my wife recently got a letter from CIC but no where it says Approval in Principal.CEC said:It really depends. To give you an idea, I got my AiP in April and I am still waiting for the 2nd stage approval.
You don't need to write permanent resident applications on the envelope, i didn't and everything was fine. The person "C. Karazub" signed for our additional documents and they have been attached to our file. The case processing centre in Vergreville has it's own postal code. Don't stress they received you application you just need to sit tight and wait now. Good luckboone90 said:Did anyone recently send inland PR application to CPC Vegreville via CanadaPost?

That is the approval in principal letter, you can take that to Service Canada to get your Social insurance number, also go to the OHIP office to apply for health coverage. Congratsmujeebshah said:What does an Approval in Principle letter say. Does it specifically say that you have been approved in principal for stage-1? The letter I got from CIC says:
"This refers to the Application to sponsor a member of the Spouse or Comon-Law Partner in Canada Class you submitted to this office on behalf of ----(my wife's name).
You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. The Application for Permanent Residence will be processed separately and the applicant will hear from this office shortly."
The letter my wife got from CIC says:
"This letter refers to your application for permanent residence under the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class.
It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent resident status as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class. However, a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent resident have been met. These requirements include medical, security and background checks for you and. if applicable. all of your family members. both in Canada and abroad. e\'en if they are not applying to join you in Canada at this time. You cannot become a permanent resident until you and all your family members have met these requirements."
Is this an AIP?
Can I take this letter to Service Ontario to apply for OHIP Card or to MTO office for driver license?
The above sentence is making me going insane. Did I have to include family members information even though they are not in Canada and they absolutely will not apply for sponsorship in the future? What kind of requirements is CIC looking for? I didn't include any of their information in my application !!!!mujeebshah said:if applicable. all of your family members. both in Canada and abroad. e\'en if they are not applying to join you in Canada at this time. don't worry, if after the first stage approving , the CIC don't need you to submit any new documents, it's OK.pptk703 said:The above sentence is making me going insane.
