Oh no, Love Young, we ARE married. Now. But when we applied we weren't.

So we applied as Common-Law but are now actually married.

We even sent them a wedding invite (though they didn't RSVP, which we thought was kind of rude :P)

Maybe they just wanted proof we followed through?

The average just depends on the processing timeline of Vegreville at the time. As of lately, it is taken anywhere from 10-12 months to be completely finished with it all. But remember the landing portion is dependent on the local offices wait times.

Or longer than 12 months....some of us are still waiting for reasons unknown!

Oh, well it sounded as if you were still common-law. This request of a document is normal. Nothing to worry about, just send it it to them asap. That is pretty funny about the RSVP part. Hehe.

Yeah, I am aware of that but they did ask for the average and right now, that is the "average". I wish yours was faster though. :(

Wahoooo!

Just called call centre to check to see if they got the marriage certificate and the agent told me we got approval yesterday!

AIP and PR and the OWP is done too!

E-Cas hasn't even updated yet.

We just have to wait on a landing interview.

It's hard to believe. I'll feel better when we actually have something paper in hand.

Congrats... Now it is the fastest part!!!

Congratulations, Pippi!

I'm crossing my fingers for everyone here : )

Hi LY!

Sorry for bothering but would you be able to update the chart? It would be great to see what is going on with the application sent on Sept 2010.

I really thank all your help and work!

Pepe

Hey Pipi!

Congratulations!!! It makes me want to call CIC as my application has been in processing since Nov 18 so I really really hope I'll be soon done.

Good luck to all!

Thanks all!

I drove across town to tell hubby in person. He is soooo excited, especially since we are leaving next Wednesday for Germany for our second wedding. Will be nice to share good news.

Yes, Latvian, call them, because ours started processing Nov.15.

Maybe the postal strike helped speed things up?!?!

Nothing against everyone else who has waited patiently (as I have too) but reading this forum is making me so ANGRY! People who applied TWO WEEKS after me are receiving both first and second stage approval and I still have nothing and already spoke to CIC today, what the Hell is going on at that place! AGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear that Teriskier. Did you ever requested for your FOSS notes? I was just wondering maybe your FOSS notes will give you a clue at least why you haven't heard anything from them yet. And you are applying in Quebec right? Maybe that is a contributing factor too?

Hang in there, I know it's tough and so frustrating!

We did apply in Quebec and received our CSQ on June 20th. Did not request FOSS notes but if I don't hear anything by next Wednesday (I will give them time to update this week and next week) I will request them.

i'm wondering when the open work permits get approved or sent out? not sure what actually goes on or when you get it during the whole process

if anyone could help give me some information on this, would be greatly appreciated
