We received your application for permanent residence on September 15, 2010.
We started processing your application on November 3, 2010.
A decision has been made and you will be contacted.
What does this mean??
YEsterday, a person from immigration called and asked for my new passport and I was asked to faxed it, and I did faxed it right away. This morning, I checked my status and it says, a ecision has been made andyou will be contacted.
I am praying a lot that it will be a positive result...
My Timeline:
Application Sent : September 12, 2011
Application Received : September 15, 2011
Application was processed on November 3, 2010
DEcision Made : June 22, 2011

I think you got AIP! Congratulations!

Since your status only says A decision has been made and you will be contacted. you got AIP.

But once it changes to We sent you a letter on xx xx xx to x mailing address x about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. If we have sent the letter to the wrong address, please contact us. Then it means you got PR.

Just called CIC....no AIP Today. BUT they have started communicating internally via e-mail and they were able to tell me that I received my CSQ. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed that this adventure ends soon!

hI IHET, does your ECAS say anything about "medical received"? That is also required before you get PR

Hi all,

So hubby and I went to the Regina office yesterday for his landing. We arrived half an hour early but since there was no one else besides us, the IO called us right away. We paid the fee, answered the 3 question, hubby signed the document, got his passport stamped and that was it! 8) Our immigration saga has FINALLY come to an end after we somehow managed to survive the twist last year. WHEWWWW!!!!!!!! All is well that ends well :)

PS. As of today, hubby is still over the moon and so excited he couldnt sleep last night ;D. He has been staring at the COPR and passport stamp for hours! ;D He has waited for this for 11 years :o and you cant imagine how his family is reacting back home. They cant wait for us to visit and vice versa but we have to wait for PR card and then decide when he can take time off from his studies. For now he is repeating the IO's greeting over and over in different accents, "Congratulations, you are now a Permanent Resident of Canada"... lol

Thanks much Lovely20!

We got another good news. I am going for Citizenship oath on Canada Day!!! 8)

To be honest, I was so caught up with our sponsorship application that I hardly kept track of my citizenship application ;D Its a miracle in itself that I remembered to apply ;) I agree with Angtao that compared to PR, its a walk in the park!

Jurjen, for your citizenship, you can claim only one year prior to your PR. So if you have been here for two years or more, your max claim is one year and you will still have to stay in Canada for another two years before you can apply for citizenship.

If your stay was less than two years before PR then you can claim half of that period i-e if it was for one year, you will claim 6 months.

8 day jump. Now Sept.7

Hi LY, if your not too busy, can we get a chart update?

You definitely got first stage approval or AIP! Did you attach your application for OWP? If not, you have to wait for the letter from CIC and then you can apply for OWP.

Yeah, 8 days only... lazy lazy people >:( and soon they will start going on vacation... and being government employees they probably have tons of vacation... but hope dies last! sooner or later they will get there ;D it's just the wait that's killing me.

Congrats to all who are getting their AIPs!!! That must be a relief for you...

Stay tuned! 8)
