DECISION MADE!!!
:o :o :o :o :o

Checked the status on E-cas early this morning and it says Decision Made

We received your application for permanent residence on August 16, 2010.

We started processing your application on October 3, 2010.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made and you will be contacted.

We sent you a letter on May 30, 2011 to xxxxxxxxxxxxxx about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. If we have sent the letter to the wrong address, please contact us.

I hope Canada Post doesn't go on strike for too long. So what do you guys think? Is it safe to assume we got both AIP and PR on May 30?

That is amazing!!! I am so happy for you! It is great to know that CIC it's moving at good rhythm!
I hope everybody have a great week!
Cheers

Pepe

Congratulations!!!

Sorry for changing the subject, but how did you find out when CIC started processing your application? Did you call them? did they send you a letter? e-mail?

Canadiancitizen,

you need to get your client ID number, having that number you can log in to E-CAS (and there you will be able to find out when did they start to process your application). The way to get that number is to call and ask for it. or if you get an extension of your VISITOR VISA there you can find the client ID number. it is a number like 5555-5555.
I hope this helps.

Just got a call from an immigration officer now and she told me all the things I need to bring with me. She asked if I was available this week and I said sure. Then she asked if I was available tomorrow at 11 am. Of course I said yes. Even if I had other plans I would have cancelled them for this. So glad we got home in time to get the call. Yay! :P

CONGRATSSSS
I hope we are happy ever after. looooool!!!!
I am really happy for you !

Mona_Barca looks like your next...

Congratulations lovely20. You must be over the moon.

Mona, you are next girl. Probably by Friday you will hear something. I would call CIC on Friday and ask them as e-cas takes 2 days to update.

LY, your probably on cloud 9 today. Good for you girl. You deserve it.

canadiancitizen, they are starting ti process apps after 3 weeks now. Your should be in process anyday now. Have you ever applied for a visitor extension?

Thanks Angtao!

Yes we are. Actually we received the E-cas tracker update at 2am on my iphone. I was going to the washroom and saw I have mail so I immediately opened my computer and checked it. Woke up hubby to tell him he has been approved and the journey is almost over. So we ended up talking from 2-4 am, went back to bed and have to wake up again at 7. So now I'm tired and sleepy but very happy indeed.

Hi Everyone,

Still no news from me - I did call and was told I may have to wait until June 20th to hear something. Has anyone heard this before where they are past the processing received date and no news. I am stressing it means I don't have AIP or OWP and the call center do not want to tell me!!!

ardmac, I wouldn't worry if I were you. Sometimes it takes a little longer to get approved then others. I think the call centre says 2 weeks because that is when a decision will be made and you will have something in the mail. Don't listen to that 2 week thing. Just roll it off your shoulder. I would try calling towards the end of the days, maybe the end of day tomorrow since you already called today and see if there is any news.
