I know we already have an Inlander's thread but I felt that there were not many people to relate to as far as other inland applicants go. It seems like most people in the other thread have already had most or all of their processing done. I wanted to start one for the year 2010 so we can have people to talk to during the process and help each other during the wait.

Please feel free to tell your story, explain what you do during your wait, future plans, etc.
Also post your current timeline so we can have an idea of each other progress.

Best of luck inland applicants. Lets stay strong. :)

My Current Timeline

Application Mailed With Open Work Permit: July 13, 2010
Application Received By Vegreville: July 16, 2010

I mailed mine on May 10, 2010 and they got it on May 13. It seems they have slowed down though so we have a bit longer wait.

The same here 'Suenim'.

I am ready for the wait, it's going to be loooong. I am expecting my application to take at least 3 years to be finalized.

*Application sent/ received: May/2010

Sponsorship & PR Application sent on January 5,
received at CIC-Vegreville January 8,
processing since March 13 and still waiting..... ::)

My application has been "in process" since March 5th...

Best of luck to everyone!

How long do you think it is taking for them to start processing?

Also, I have a quick question! Did you include "Use of a Representative" form with your application? I didn't because it didn't apply to me and on the checklist it said "if applicable". I guess I am just hoping it won't be returned because if it is, I will be out of status since my status expires on July 31, 2010.

Hi all,

I sent my application on 20th feb 2010 and received on 23th Feb, started processing on 10th may. I haven't heard anything from them since. So i am forecasting that i would hear something around Sept 2010. I really hope that my application is simple without any complications, because i am very frustrated right now, without a job and living on a budget. I hate it.

Alibaba, we are on the same boat.
I am frustrated as well, feeling like trash... this is so unhealthy, sometimes it's hard not to think about bad things.
I am sure we are all doing this because our partners, CIC should make it a bit easier and shorten the time of wait . . .

im hoping to hear from them around september. my timeline is bellow.

I am thinking of sending additional supporting documents, because i didn't submit photocopies of our emails before we got married, my university degrees, cards, and etc etc, i am also thinking of sending more pictures of our ongoing relationship. I am really worried because i don't want any further delays in my application.

I personally think they should process the work permit 1st so applicants can start working to support themselves and also contribute to the economy. Anyway i am just bummed out with the situation.

I agree, I wish they would process the work permit first.
Things would be so much easier that way.

So how are all of you passing the time?
It hasn't even been a week since mine was received and I already feel like I am going insane.

Alibaba is right, as i said in the already famous post" a real shame" this immigration system seems very long and not working really well(especially for inland applications). see processing times----- hope they realize and they change soon---

Sent application january 25th
received january 27th
started processing March 31st
Yesterday (July 28th) i received a letter requesting further information ie what i have been doing in canada since January 2010
Obviously this information would NOT be available to me (even!) because i have been doing nothing here really and when i filled out the forms. i didnt predict what i would be doing for seven months..
so i am re-sending my paperwork tomorrow.

Anyone in my shoes?

I think this is a common thing to receive for Inland applicants. I think are just looking for the most up to date information since sending your application.

What does the letter say exactly? We may be able to better help you that way.
