I just went to Service Canada today at City Hall and they told me that my COPR isnt good enough and I need my PR card. What crap.

Dear

I suggest you to call service Canada, There is always a situation which you can get your new SIN if you have your COPR and your stamped passport together.

Well they didnt stamp my passport..

Did they take your work permit away from you? You can get a temp SIN if you still have it, otherwise, sorry you should have got your temp SIN when you first got the work permit.

Yeah, I still have my temp work permit and my SIN expires on the 21st of this month. The lady told me to just tell my employer to wait until I get my PR card. Ah well.

In that case, don't worry about it. You temp SIN is sufficient even after it expires, I believe, given that you're legally able to work as soon as you land as a PR. Show your employer your landing documents and tell them you'll have your SIN in a few months.

My wife Anna should squeeze by barely before her SIN expires. Based on your timeline I am expecting she will land early December and then have her PR card early February ( oh wait a minute. CHRISTMAS! That should cause a nice delay.) Her SIN expires in March.

2012 is almost over and i am still waiting and waiting

How I held through my time is I would order my FOSS notes every month just to see what was going on with my file.

The forms are here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/index.asp

You are making a "privacy act" request (because you are inside Canada) and thus there is no charge. You want "electronic notes" which means they will come from whatever the current computer system is.

Hi guys~~!!! I dont know if I should be excited yet... but does this mean its over? are we approved!!! is it all done!!!( except the landing part obviously)

We received xxxx xxxxxxxxs application for permanent residence on December 1, 2010.

We transferred xxx xxxxxxxxx application to the Vancouver Admissions office on October 27, 2011. The Vancouver Admissions office may contact xxxxx.

Hard to know how they order the interview dates. What letter does your last name begin with? Anna's Last names begins with B. So, if they are ordering it alphabetically, she is more like to be interviewed first.

Just a guess... ;D
