Hi everybody....holy smokes i been reading ALOT....anyways im about to send in my application....

i have a couple questions to ask...i read so much already on the websites but cant find accurate yes or no answers

so my first question is... in the application where it asks how long have i been living with my husband (my current address) on the frm start date - "to date"...what date do i put? the day im gonna send it in? or the day my vistor pass expires? or do i just write "current" because when i send in the app, ill still be living with him at that same address.

second question..where it ask for my client number and document number...which is the document number? (i knw which is the client number) is it the big number in red in the top right corner?

and final important answer...i need a yes or a no...when i send in my app...do i send in my extension app with it, or separate??...and i have read i can ask for up to a year where it asks wut date i want to extend to...this correct?

thank u guys so much for ur time!! :)

We applied Inland 2010
Vegreville Received our Application October 14, 2010
They started processing our Application November 29, 2010
They transferred our file to the Local office here in Edmonton August 8, 2011
We updated our file at the local office January 2012
We are planning another small update to our file April 1, 2012
If you would like to add this info to the chart that would be great.

Hi everyone, just wanted to update everyone. My common-law partner landed on Friday in Hamilton. Our appointment was at 1:30 we got into the room at 2:30! but i am not complaining it was well worth the wait. Prior to going into the room we called to pay the landing fee of $490. The IO called my spouses name and we were brought into the room. It was pretty simple the IO went over all of his info, and confirmed all the information was correct, she went over my responsibilities as his sponsor.

I haven't told anyone in this forum until now that i work for the Federal government, and in the same building as the immigration dept, i don't work for immigration though. I knew the IO who landed my spouse because we work in the same building. We are not close friends but have seen each other many times. My team from work came down to the floor that immigration was on and gave my partner a big congrats. It was really nice to have all the support that day. The IO told us he should receive his PR card in about 6-8 weeks. All in all it went very smoothly and it was a big relief. I want to thank everyone in this forum for all your help, support and words of advice during the process. I think this forum gave me strength and hope on days i could not find it within myself. For everyone waiting for news or just beginning your journey i wish all good luck. Your day will come soon. :D

congrats, that's a good news....

Oh yeah? How come I didn't got the letter yet for my landing interview here in Montreal. I have sent all the payment and photos last week. Its been a week and no reply from them when... :'(

I'm still waiting too puzzled. I am tempted to call the CIC and ask especially since we just changed our address...I hope it wasn't sent to the wrong place.

Just did my 2nd medical. Am I supposed to send off the receipt or do I just wait until CIC gets the medicals right from the doctor?

I dont think I'll be hearing anything for the next few months. Oh well. Glad to have the medical out of the way. I'm sure I'll be having my landing interview next!
