thank you for your answers. I did post the question in 2011 inland thread, just feel people here is more experienced:)
By the way, anyone else have an idea? Would you choose "Yes" or "No" to give consent to CIC to share your educationa and work experience to prospecive employers? Would a "NO" answer be an indicator for CIC to conduct background check (I am afraid they doubt about why I didn't want to share the info)

YES i will love CIC to share my educational and work experience to prospective employers because its will be easier to be confirmed for job and in other words choosing NO will not allow CIC to share any information about you to any employer which i think will limit your chances if you ever apply for a top job some day.note that question is for the future and nobody knows whats the future holds.hope this helps you decide whether to choose yes or no.good luck

Hey Guys! Just want to share my timeline...

We received your application for permanent residence on October 8, 2010.

We started processing your application on June 9, 2011.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made and you will be contacted.

We received the requested information on September 12, 2011. Thank you for providing the information.

We sent you a letter on September 19, 2011 to XXX, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. If we have sent the letter to the wrong address, please contact us.

My office is Edmonton, the delay there is 4-6 weeks, so hopefully by the end of October my wife finally will be a PR:)))) So we can finally go for our honeymoon:)))

congrats TRUE RUSSIAN!!!

How do you know the average delay in each visa office?

Guys, this may be a dumb question but why does this form below say:

Completed Document Checklist (IMM 5556)

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5556E.PDF

Isin't that this form that I am checking off or is there another IMM 5556 form? The document checklist is IMM 5556 E. Is there a difference between the 2?

Here's hoping there is a good jump tomorrow:)

IMM 5556 is the general name of the form. Each form you can get in two versions: IMMxxxxE and IMMxxxxF. Considering that Canada is bilingual, you may now find out what 'E' and 'F' stand for. ;)

Congrats True Russian, I think that is both stages at once.

Let's hope this week the timeline moves up for more of those in November!

Hello Inland 2010 members!

I'm Inland 2011 but wanted to ask some advice. My application from July 21, 2011 is still not "In Progress" - should I be worried?

I'm already a stressball and I'm only 2 months into the process ???

Hi Angus!
Well it could be because of a backlog but I understand your worry. Before I recommend anything I just wanted to know what things you may have already tried to find out up until this point.

It took me 5 months before I could log in on eCas.

I know it's hard, but: be patient. ;)

Hi LY - I can never get onto a CIC agent over the phone, so I'm just going off what eCas tells me right now

I waited almost 9 months for mine to show but this isn't the case with 2011 applicants Jurjen. Look at their chart.

I would really try to keep getting ahold of an agent. I know it is a pain and there may be times that an agent won't be willing to help but try again. If you like though and if you have your client ID number (which I am assuming you do since you can sign into e-Cas) then you could also order FOSS notes. They will say on there when it started processing.

Thanks LY - Problem is I work reception at a busy office and phone is ringing all day, so I only have very few breaks where I can try and call :(

Sorry for sounding silly - but what are FOSS notes? Do I have to call CIC to order them?
