if you live in Quebec, after receiving an answer from CIC (at present 8-9 months after you apply) you will have to apply for the "Certificat de sélection du Québec" at Immigration Québec, which according to other people's experience, takes around 2 months.

I was under the impression that you won't be granted AIP until you have been approved by Quebec and that they ask you apply for the Certificat de Selection du Quebec en avance. But I could be wrong.

From what I understood is that the Québec part comes after AIP. CIC gives sponsorship approval and asks to file a demand for the CSQ/QSC before they can continue to process your PR demand.

See my story in my other thread!. Even though am pretty mad right now that CIC has screwed my file im happy they are also making it easier for me and have issued everything!.

You need to be careful with CIC and call and check!. i made the mistake of not checking abt m medicals and not checking about the other stuff!.
these are human beings and they arent perfect!.

It was just a huggee royal mess that they were majorly part of. Now i have to locate my medicals!!..

Right now i wish i could sue them!..

Hello everybody,
Seems like immigration is now more concern about economic class than family class. Their new time line for economic class ( (Canadian Experience Class, Entrepreneur Class, Investor Class, Provincial Nominees, Self-Employed Class, Skilled Workers)
is far more easier than spouse sponsorship ha ha ha funny........................
