Thanks everybody who answered my question. Today I finished too late to send all my pictures, so I will do it tomorrow morning, but finally all the information of our relationship is there, so I hope that could help . Also today I got a letter from CIC about my OWP Application (I sent it in September before my study permit's end), so now I know they have received it, but according to the letter they are going to work on it after I get the confirmation of my PR ... that means AIP???? I'm confused.

Now I'm thinking about asking my FOSS notes, but I don't know if it makes the process longer or not. And how to do that... Can someone please give me some advises?

OMG I wasnt sure if it was or not. I cant believe my long wait is finally over. I guess they are working on apps in 2011 now.

How do I get my OWP now. Can I just go to a port of entry and get one?

I hope and pray everyone gets a response from them soon.

Yes, I think it's possible. Just make sure you bring all the proper forms already filled out (IMM 5553, 5556, 1249).
But you'll need to be sure that there'll be no problems coming back to Canada (since you'll need to flagpole to use the port of entry).

OWP will only be issued upon receiving AiP (first stage). But it's good you've send it, so you can keep a valid status in Canada.

Since I got AIP, Do I need to extend my visitor visa still. I got a UK passport which gives me 6 months. It wont end until late Feb.

What will be the reason they wont allow me to re enter Canada? I still have a visitor visa that expires at the end of Feb. I just want to get my OWP as quick as possible. I heard that if I send it in, it could take up to 3 months.

Thanks so much. Yea I checked my eCas yesterday and it still said in process. But this morning I got an email my ecas tracker which said that there was an update. So i logged on to my ecas and it said decision man. So i tried to call CIC but the automated voice said that the call centre closed on weekends. Im not sure if they tried to send the email yesterday but just got it this morning.

When did they recieve ur app? I hope u hear from them soon.

Ecas tracker was something I signed up for where they will email u when there is an update.

Ur only a few days after me. I really hope u hear something next week. Keep checking everyday. Lol

We are still waiting... Cic received our application dec 24th ..... Hopefully we are waiting to get both aip and pr at the same time.....i don t see any reason why we would be transferred ... We've put a lot of evidence of our relationship.... Hopefully early next week we'll get our answer !!!!

You wrote that you're from the UK. That means you don't have a visa, only a visitor record. You're from a visa exempt country. So that's one big plus, then it's hard to be rejected at the border. Just make sure you meet the demands to enter to the US and then get back to Canada (even if you don't meet the demands for the US, you'll just turn around to Canada too).

So when you demand your OWP, you'll get a new visitor record and you can stay as long as your OWP allows you to (usually up to the date your passport expires).

CONGRATULATIONS, that means they are working on apps 2011... That give us hope. I'm so happy for you and all of us, I hope the first stage of our app will finish soon.
