Hi all,

Regular reader of the forum but posting after a long time (you would know why when you read my timeline).

They are working on applications received uptill April 20!

Moved 1 day in 1 week and 5 business days in the last 4 weeks... :'(

I feel like a zombie.
That's unbelievable! only 1 day for a whole week! I can't understand what the CIC is doing. I really have nothing more to say with it......just..just...feel so bad.... :-X

From various forums and trackitt etc, I see that the last ppl who got AIP had applied by April16. After that, nothing!

Surely it cant be that they got so bogged down with in-land applications between April13-20 that they are working on for 4 WEEKS! What could have caused such delay???

they're just slooooooooow and laaaaaaaaaaaaazy.... and looks like they don't give a sh.t.... your status expires while we keep extending processing times - it's your problem now, that's what they say! that is not fair and they are not accountable... I will not be surprised if they'll extend it again in few months time.
Ayway, try to stay positive and play the game by their rules since there is no other way. I'm currently keep my fingers crossed hoping my employer will be able to get a positive LMO so I can extend m work permit, which expires before CIC will get back to me with AIP.
GOOD LUCK everyone! 8)

Ugh I have been having such a down day as it is. I was hoping for some good news. I know I told you all that my hubby is wanting to go part-time and in a sense I want him to but at the same time the finances are stressing me out. I mean we still have $1,000 (computer), $490 (save for Landing fee), $400 (hospital bill), and another $500-600 (for credit card) to pay off and that is without any miscellaneous fees and paying $300 a month for bills. Ugh...he doesn't realize that this will do more stress to our relationship then not getting to see each other that often. And to add to the stress we are supposed to move out by May but we have no money saved up and at this rate we won't have any. And I mean plus what happens if I get sick or we have to have another medical done (another $400). We aren't going to be able to do it. I can't convince him otherwise but he doesn't realize that going from a $1,500 a month income to $900 isn't easy or feasible. Now is not the time to be slacking.

Plus I don't know how we are going to make it on one income if we have to move out by May but I can't see his parents letting us stay here past that. I mean his mom and I already don't get along too well and she doesn't understand this situation so I don't see how in the world we are supposed to do this. Honestly, I am about ready to call it quits and apply outland. I would be done sooner because at this rate instead of only having to wait only 2 more months, I am going to probably be having to wait for another 5 more months and that's only for the work permit that I may or may not get approved for. It's no wonder my depression is getting worse by the minute. AHHHH.... I cannot take this :'( :(

CIC doesnt send any acknowledgment note about received applications, unfortunately. i noticed most people cant log in to ecas till they get AIP anymore. u might get lucky to log in after 3 months or so after ur app was received, if u got ur client ID? good luck!
Thank you, Asta. Do you know how I can find out my client ID? The only number I have is the receipt # starting with a letter R plus 9 digits. I keep trying this number on CIC's web but always tells me no results. Maybe I should call them?

People, why dont you try to stop staring so much at how fast immigration is processing applications? It wont make them do it faster and you would probably get hooked up to doing it every day and feeling bad seeing the date they are working on now.

Also, for every one who is new and applied like few months ago, you will not be able to check out your status until immigration sends you letter for the first time with your client ID number. Maybe it will work sooner wit some of you, but mostly it isnt. So just wait and do something else.
Anyway, they have send me letter about my application few weeks than I was expecting it, by following that chart they are giving on their page. So even that doesnt have to be something correct.
You can only wait and hope that they wont refuse you.
You all know why you applied and what is important to you, so just stick to it and let them do everything else.

I really wish the best to all of you, just hold on and give it time. Do your part of the story good, dont wait for some late date to extend your stay and call them if you have some dilemma or whatever.

;) ;)

Welcome to the thread Babyhangon! Glad you found your way here, introduced yourself, and found it useful. We try to keep everyone strong and informed. We are family here!. I will add you to the chart as well. And yes usually they start processing anywhere from 2 1/2 to 3 months after the application is received. Unfortunately though that usually just means that everything is good to go and that it has started in the queue line until its turn to be looked at. And the only way I was able to find out when our application started processing was by calling CIC to ask. That don't usually help you or tell you that information but I got lucky. Plus I told them I needed to add a document to our application and needed to know if it had started processing yet. She then put me on hold and told me the date. Up til now I am still be unable to sign into e-Cas with both my Client ID and Receipt #.

I called to ask about it and was told that I would be able to sign in the day they decide on the AIP decision. So I will be waiting until then. A lot of people used to be able to sign into e-Cas before then but it seems more frequently that isn't the case anymore. And as Asta stated, inland applications do not receive acknowledgement of receipt. The only way you know if it was received was if you got tracking on your application. During the process some people are asked to send additional documents but most aren't. So don't expect to hear anything for CIC until they make a decision for AIP which will be 9-10 months from the date your application was received. So be prepared to wait until at least September or October 2011 to hear news. Try to relax a bit, this is a long wait but we are here to help make it easier. We all stay strong together. Good luck with your application.
You're so sweet, Love_Young. Thanks a lot. I would like to know how we can find our client ID #. We only have a receipt # and it doesn't seem to work. Also, if there's no communication at all between CIC and the applicants during the 9-10 months, how does one know their application is complete? If they told us, after 9-10 months, we had to start our application all over, that would be a disaster for us.

Well, let's pray together. Everything will be fine.

It definitely is just me having a down day but it was inevitable to happen. I can't always have high spirits but I am feeling much better since talking to my mom. I am so sorry that you have to go through dealing with the finances too but it good news at least we aren't alone. I hope one day these stresses will be nothing to us anymore. And yes I do believe in God. I will definitely be praying more and maybe meditating will help some. Ahh...that sounds so relaxing just thinking about it. And well Grant is always sick so that is always a high priority. He needs to get healthier. Even though using 58% of his lungs is better than where he was at. It isn't good enough to keep him off the transplant list unless he really REALLY works to keep up his health. I mean imagine if during this wait he could possibly get it up higher by another 10%, that would be amazing. I don't want to discourage him from wanting to do what is best for him even if it isn't always the best for me. I mean he has sacrificed a lot too for me and to not let him focus on his health or take a break for two months is selfish of me. As my mom said, I can't let money make up our relationship. Even though it is always a big issue, happiness and love come first. And especially health. I think I just needed to vent about the money situation but I fully trust that God has a plan for us and it will reach us in due time even if it isn't OUR time. He wouldn't put us in a situation we can't handle and when we feel we can't He is always there. And I am will not let CIC get me down anymore. I know who I am and who I love. This is the life we want and it will happen and because why? Because we deserve it. All of us here do. I am not ever giving up, I won't let them succeed in bringing me down. I will beat all of their tests. *does karate chop* ahhh... take that CIC. :p

Anyway, thanks so much dear. Your spirits lift me up tremendously.
I will be praying for all of us here to be able to get through these challenges. We can make.
*hugs back to you*

Aww thanks. You're very welcome. Well I know my Client ID because I was given one on my visitor record when I crossed the border (most aren't given a visitor record though) and it was also on my visitor extensions (if you didn't have one before a visitor extension, you do after). If you don't have one yet that is normal as well. After they start processing they should mail you a letter stating your client ID but if they don't I would say at the end of the month to call them and ask if the know what it is. Are you asking as in the application being complete as in getting AIP/PR or whether it has missing documents? You will know it is complete and start processing if after waiting 2 1/2 to 3 months after they received the application and you don't get the application sent back to you. If it isn't sent back to you, you can rest assured that it was complete and done right. I am not sure if this helps you any but I tried. Ask more questions if you have any of concern and I will answer them the best I can.

I know you are trying to keep our spirits high but you have to understand that it is hard not to worry how much longer you are going to have to wait. Sure it doesn't make it easier but it doesn't make it easier not knowing. I am sure you wondered and worried as well. And now that you have AIP, it might not be as big of a concern to you as it once was but for those still waiting for that decision it can be difficult. Sometimes we all just need to vent. I mean after my venting, I already feel a TON better. But I love love love you trying to keep our spirits high, that is definitely appreciated every bit. And it is true, we do need to remember what we are doing this for and remember it will all be worth it. Then one day we can look back and hopefully laugh about this. I can't wait until we are living a life together and can just make this a distant memory though. I will be holding strong and doing what I can. Let them do the rest. I can only hope that they give us a positive decision but I can't really see why it wouldn't be. Here is to attempting to relax and waiting for my positive answer. *cheers*

I remember once when I really had some nasty time in life, my good friend told me that if I want to, I can move a mountain. I looked at her and thought Are you nuts..! But later as life went on, I became stronger and I dare to believe in what I dream about, or what I want.

I have been through my days of being totally depressed, then good days and they are still exchanging. I know that I won't be calm until I get my papers done, you know, that feeling when you don't have the need to stare at the mail box..
I know that all that stress combined with simply living a life (which is not easy for most of us mortals :) ) can be so hard to handle.

That is why I wrote that people should stop staring at immigration page every day. I admit that it sounds rough and I am sorry if anyone got offended. But once you realize that time goes on and that days are passing and that the fact that immigration didn't move that stupid date isn't putting you in a bad mood anymore, then you can really start to pay attention to your life, to yourself. That is what I hated the most, that I had a feeling that my life isn't in my hands, but in Immigrations hands...and it is not.

Yeah, I got my AIP, but I know exactly what most of you are talking about and I didn't forget it. I also have to fight with some other fears, but that is life. It is not Immigration, it is going to be something else.

So, I should better check out on my dog, when I can't hear him, he is probably doing something I wouldn't like... :)

Take care people!

Teehee better go get your doggie then. What kind is it? We want a dog as well but not until we get our own place.

Sorry if I offended you any. That wasn't my intention but I know what you mean. What you said just opened my eyes completely. It is so easy to think that immigration is controlling our lives but they aren't. We still can have control over it. They are only a small part to it. We all need to remember this. And I know what you mean checking the mailbox though. I can't wait for that to stop either. At least for my next few trips I have birthday gifts to look forward to though. :p Yay 21 here I come.

I just want to say I am sorry to everyone for letting them down with my sad mood. But it is all because of you all that have opened my eyes up and made me feel SOOO much better. I hope I am able to return the favor if you ever need it. You all are great friends/family. Our days will get better.

I know we already have an Inlander's thread but I felt that there were not many people to relate to as far as other inland applicants go. It seems like most people in the other thread have already had most or all of their processing done. I wanted to start one for the year 2010 so we can have people to talk to during the process and help each other during the wait.

Please feel free to tell your story, explain what you do during your wait, future plans, etc.
Also post your current timeline so we can have an idea of each other progress.

Best of luck inland applicants. Lets stay strong. :)
