CIC received my application back in June 2015. Got my AIP in the beginning of november . . . and I haven't heard anything from them till now. Is this normal?

I can't link my application to my GCkey--try it numerous times. I'm totally lost now. I don't want to miss something and all of a sudden they gonna return my application and it's gonna be on me.

Did you try to call them? You heard nothing at all??

Yes and i always connect with application number...tried once and always connects...cant use ecas since i m using a rep

I did order my GCMS notes (I just got to know this stuff last week). I tried to call them but they always have 'high volume of caller'

If I have to wait I have no problem with that. But if it's unusual to take more than four months after AIP then I should be worried. Is it unusual? I know they I have 26 months to wait

Every application is different from others so if i were you i keep calling, try 8am and you ll speak to an agent. At least you know everything is going well...peace of mind you know

They did asked me to send my police records in November (That was before they changed their rules in december). And after three months of battling with my embassy, I finally got it in scanned copy. I sent them via IRCC webform last month and I never heard from them.

Now I live most of my adult live in Canada but I did spent 10 months in indonesia after I was 18 years old. Am I affected by the new rules or I still have to go by the old rules. This is confusing. I just wish I could talk to them in person but their automatic call is annoying

Since you applied using the old forms i m pretty sure you keep on the same wavelength...new forms means different processing...so yo re still with the application you applied with

Have you tried linking the app by entering a 'space" on the birth of place field, and '2' for number of applicants? If not, go ahead and try.

Okay so let's say if I was born in Toronto, I should say (space)Toronto?

No. Literally, just hit the spacebar once. Only enter a 'space'. Do not put the word Toronto. It would appear as if it's a blank field.

That seems odd but I'll try. Thank you. and does it normally take 10 months until I get DM?

There seems to be some of the applicant that applied later than I did, but then they finish quicker. In my application status it says "application received" And it'd been stayed like that for a while
