We are ready to apply for spousal sponcor. My wife is here in canada and her 3 children are in the Philippines.

Can we send the children's passports after we apply or does it need to be sent with the application.

It is taking a long time to get the childrens passports and don't want to wait for months to send the application.

We are applying INLAND

Thanks

First of all, when you send your application you don't send your passports but their photocopies only.
Second, keep in mind that if you apply Inland, your spouse will not be able to leave Canada for all of the duration of the application, which is quite long years, is this something she is ready for given her children are abroad?
Third, I am not sure it is wise (or possible) to use Inland application if her children are not in Canada. I don't know if that means they have to be listed as non accompanying dependents and she will have to sponsor them separately or they can actually be included in the same Pr application. Lets see what other members have to say about it...

Her children have never had a passport before so we applying for their passports so we dont have a photo copy to send yet.

We are aware of pros and cons to inland outland. We are applying inland so she can get her OWP.

If you are sending your application with incomplete civil documents such as passports, you taking a (big) risk that your application is going to be returned to you.

I was just asking if the children's passports are required as it dosent say anywhere. So I will asume they will ask for them at a later date.

WE have our passports.

Are these 3 children minor dependents or adults over the age of 19?

From IMM 5443E checklist:

PHOTOCOPIES (OR ORIGINALS WHEN INDICATED) OF THE FOLLOWING ITEMS
(Photocopies do not need to be certified. Do not send original documents unless specified as they will not be returned)
For the applicant and his or her dependent children
Passport pages clearly showing your passport number, name, date of birth, passport issue/expiry dates and stamp made by a Canadian authority showing your most recent entry into Canada

How do you plan to include the children on the INLAND application, when they are not IN Canada?

Copies of the children's passports must be included in the app. If you send the app without them, there is always the possibility of the app being returned as incomplete. You can include an explanation letter but there is no guarantee.

Only the Principal Applicant must be in Canada for an inland app. There is no issue including dependents who are not in Canada.

We have the same problem my dependents are in the philippines doesnt have passport yet but they are scheduled on dec 3 i know getting passport in the philippines taking forever, i asked question in one of the forum in fb someone told me that i can put to be followed then photocopy of their schedule getting the passport then once they get their passport photocopy that then send right away to cic, they did the same thing tho... By the way they are not going here with me for now but what the other member said we still need to send the passport copy and pay the fee 150 each so sad :(

Hi! In my case when I submitted my application..my dependents doesnt have a passport I just indicated that its going to be followed as I dont want to delay my application...applied in January 2015 got my AOR in April and still waiting.....

So since the dependents are in the philippines with no STAMP made by a Canadian authority showing your most recent entry into Canada...then I think its not applicable to the requirements needed
