I sent my documents on November for the first time, but sent back due to improper checklist(not using the most up-to-date checklist). And Then I resent my documents on Mid December, and canada post displayed that it was received after two days. But I haven't received any file number or message from CIC. Is that normal? I am very nervous now

I am still waiting on mine too and I applied around the same period.
According to some threads, some people who applied around the 10th of December just got their AOR on the 14th of February.

When I sent my app I saw that forms has just been updated recently, but its been almost 2 months so im expecting AOR rather than then sending forms back.

It takes a few months for an app to be returned. There is a grace period for old forms.

No, but it's weeks, not months. If your app is in fact returned it can take quite a while.
Hi I’m just curious how did your application go ? Was it returned? I’m having similar issue with the generic form,I sent in the 06-2019 version only to find out today that there’s a new one 7-2019 and my wife Already sent our application today 5th of July, and it’s an Outland sponsorship which took time to gather documents and also the new generic form 7-2019 is exactly the same, no new questions nothing changed...should this be a cause for worry ? It’s just 5 days , will my application be returned ?

My application was not returned. Usually even if you have outdated forms there is a grace period, and although it isnt specified, I think 5 days outdated shouldnt be an issue. In my case, they were a few months outdated. Now my application is in background check. I hope this soothes your worries!
