I have my PR application in progress and expecting the portal email 1 in a week but I am currently out of the country and planning to travel in couple of weeks. I also have a valid work permit, can I travel back to country using the valid visa and apply the portal 1 email?

Your documents remain valid until you receive the eCOPR. However, assuming you will not spend long time abroad, I would recommend you to delay your reply until you come back.
I have also informed to IRCC webform about this, hope that being transparent is good at this scenario as they can access the travel history.

One of my friends received the first portal while he was visiting his home country. He replied directly, providing all the required information about his trip and return date. He then received the second portal e-mail while still traveling. At this point, he entered the country few days after then replied to the e-mail. Everything wen well. He received the eCOPR and his PR card.
Hi. Thanks for sharing this. Do you possibly know how long was your friend's trip? I mean, how many days after receiving P1 was their return date?
We've got P1 while my husband is out of the country for a good while (10 days ago), notified them that he will be back in 1.5 months. Not sure if they will issue him a COPR or just wait for him to come back and do the virtual landing. We haven't heard back yet.

Okay, might be a fluke. But there's a high possibility that we might get P1 or FD in April mid or by end of April? So I am not worried about who is getting or not but just worried about the P1 and P2 details while out of country

To answer your question, you will have to raise a webform to ircc regarding your travel plans, or you can answer in p1 email that you are out of country , once you are back, you will have to answer the same email that you are back.

However, I see on immitracker that a couple of Jan AOR got their p1. I see one on here as well , in someone's signature
