6 MORE DAYS TIL WE GET OR PAPERS!!!!! WAITED 15 MONTHS...CANT WAIT 6 DAYS!!!!!!

haha I applied july 2011 and they dont finish yet the security background... so i waiting 20 months... and still without the medical check and security done...

My husband had his landing yesterday and he is a permanent resident !...This forum has been so helpful in this whole process (17 months) and finally is over.

Yes BLT123 there is hope! I have virtually an identical time frame, including the resent medicals and we got final approval. I didn't have to resent the police check. Just about two weeks ago we go our final approval or DM as they say here. There are also others that I know just like us who are hearing news also. I hope you get word very soon. I found that my e-cas status had changed and then got the letter the next day.

hi anticipation, did you get your landing date? what documents do you have to bring?

Well, I need to review this before I go. But I know that I need to bring the letter CIC just sent me.
Proof of payment, because I just paid it now and not when I sent in the application. My passport and photo for the PR card. Need to bring my husband (although not considered paperwork), with his Canadian passport.

Although to tell you the truth, I am going to bring every single piece of paperwork relating to my immigration that I have including a copy of the application.... Just in case. Ridiculous ??? but comforting ;D.

I don't think it's ridiculous, I plan on doing the same thing when our turn comes!

Not going to get that far and miss out for want of a copy of some obscure document sitting back at home!

hey , just registered to this forum ..

and yes, my application started processing in 18 July 2011 (inland Vegreville) ... long time ago and still got no answer...
received my AIP at 24 MAY 2012
submitted my medical check in July 2012
Police report was send to them from RCMP on 13 Sep 2012
so its like 20 month and still waiting and getting worried
any ideas why so long :-X
