Hey Jadarius,

Aiman is correct. My husband was a failed refugee, our sponsorship file was received Dec 30 2011. We met with CBSA in June 2012 and they told us his PRRA has been refused (back when everyone could do the PRRA). We were told that they would go ahead with the deportation unless we had AIP.
We got AIP July 5th and a stay was put on the deportation. When you go, I would suggest bringing the letters each of you got showing the sponsorship was accepted just in case you need it.
But from my experience, if you have AIP they will put a stay on the deportation.

We also got a letter asking that my husband go to CBSA (I believe in August)... I went with him because we were both so scared... They just wanted to give him the IDs and passport they were holding.

Good luck, I hope it all works. I know how stressful this process can be!!!

THanks so much - hearing from people who are or were in the same situation and my faith is the only things calming my nerves right now.

I am frustated my second phase right now is going to 16 months!!!!

I got AIP in november 1, 2011... so...

Your second stage starts after you get AIP...so it's 8 month wait after you get AIP, in your case it has been 4 month... Just a little more waiting and hopefully you'll DM.. ;D

yes , mine 1st approval was really fast, but now my second phase is really long...
No notice, when I called every month asking always the same answer, etc etc i think was fast cause i was living here with a temporary work permit already.

is november 2011 ! haha 16 months not 4

Tecle you can determine your Member of Parliment at this website using your postal code.

Good luck, you need to keep making noise Tecle, you have waited the wait.
Keep asking questions.

Got my landing date today. Vancouver does take only a week to send it out.
They do not wait for you to pay your Right to Permanent Residence Fee, (but I already did this weekend).
