There are good attorneys out there, but I don't think you need one - it sounds to me like they've completed your file - they generally do not reject quickly (except after an interview). With DM I'd expect the file has been transferred to the local office for landing and you'll hear from a local office. Why the call centre wouldn't tell you this is beyond me.

If it is a refusal (and I'd be surprised, though you don't mention what those additional documents were) you will need to decide very fast what you want to do - you have 15 days to appeal a negative determination. I don't think you have to worry about that, however. Generally they cannot just reject you without you knowing there's an issue (e.g., after an inteview, or after giving you an opportunity to address concerns they have.)

Thus, I think your done.

I am now a Canadian PR.
My landing was to be at 1pm today in Halifax but they called me yesterday afternoon to change my appointment to 11am.

It took less than 10 minutes. There was only one other couple there.
Only one disappointment though, he never shook my hand and said " Welcome to Canada" ;) ;)
I am so happy to finally have it done. :) :)

I got my new SIN too.

I hope the rest of the 2011 applicants get good news and DM' s soon :) :o :)

If your wife is the sponsor and she sent the request they would need your consent to disclose any personal information to her. There is also a 5$ fee that you or your wife can pay online.

We received your application for permanent residence on July 20, 2011.

We started processing your application on August 12, 2011.

We received the requested information on January 6, 2012. Thank you for providing the information.

A decision has been made and you will be contacted.

I have been waiting for more than 8 months since AIP.

According to the stage 2 schedule, I should have had some news.

But I haven't heard anything from CIC yet. I tried to call call centre, but the agent still told me to wait.

Are there anyone who can give me some advice what I can do?

Should I see a lawyer or something else?

It's just so frustracted since my case has been processed for 19 months.

I really want it to be done soon.

Thank you so much!

Just curious, have you paid your RPRF ? On my experience, I did not pay RPRF when I submitted my appliocation. Then I read later on CIC website that paying RPRF can save me some processing time.. Then I decided to send the copy of my RPRF payment online just before I got Decision Made on ecas. I Landed without an Interview. But still case to case basis I believe.
