I did my medical twice. But the 2d time was not requested, it was my choice to avoid the request from CIC and therefore avoid waiting.

They ask me in november 1 2011 for fingerprints, Medical check , i did the fingerprints and sent the Medical check receipt and i get a anwesr in febreary they got the medical check , but nothing happen I called couple weeks ago and she told to dothe medical check again cause if they find it , the medical check is expired already, I did febreaury 05

Thanks, I have already included your info in the list.

Thanks to all of you guys for keeping each other's faith up. I notice that first stage has been reduced from 11 to 6 months now. Does this mean that we will be getting first stage approval in 6 months? I notice also that the inland first stage is going at a rapid. They are at August 7, 2012 now

well well, we are from 2010 and still waiting....
app filled ; dec 24, 2010
AIP : march 21, 2012
Med request to be redone : sept 15th, 2012
Med done : sept 25th, 2012
added to file : oct 19th, 2011

bring forward date was Nov 30, 2012

and we are still waiting........

call center agent are saying that they have everything in the file, that nothing is missing...that they cannot do anything before 4 months after bring forward date.....that if we have not heard of anything beginning of april to call back :-(

we are 26 months into the process and almost 11 after AIP

It is very frustrating and I don't quite understand how they prioritise files.

our case is very straightforward ; canadian sponsering british, and no dependent anywhere!!!

does any body know what this mean "FWD TO SA FOR REVIEW OF NCBS" ???? so anybody knows what this means?? cause sure i dont ???

I'd suggest two easy things:

(1) Have the sponsor contact her/his MP
(2) Order your electronic case notes

Then I'll suggest you might wish to consider the harder, more expensive option: file in Federal Court for Mandamus. Very few Mandamus filings make it beyond the application stage because Justice Canada (who responds to these things for CIC) lights a big bonfire under some butts at CIC to get it cleared up. It's almost impossible for them to defend cases like yours.

The worst case I've ever run across was an American sponsored by his Canadian spouse who had been waiting six years since AIP. He'd been working on a string of open work permits. His file had been transferred through four offices... Last I heard they had the MP pushing and CIC suddenly seemed to be moving - rather than the BS answers they kept sending back about "normal processing time, yada yada..."

computergeek , this is scary...

Yes we have contacted our MP before Christmas, but agin since we are in the ''normal time'' after the request of new documents or Medical, even in ottawa they are telling him our file has normal time :o crazy !! I wonder if things are not moving because he is in the opposition rather than power....Well now that I think of it, we always dealt with his ''assistant'' I will now request a meeting with the MP not the assistant, it might help!

We have ordered Foss notes and it is all normal , nothing to report in it...

filling for Mandamus...never heard of this...we will seriously look into it as our timeline just don't make any sense...

thanks for your input

Hey guy,
Can someone please tell me what's the timeline for Scarborough office to call you for landing interview ?

Here's an interesting description: http://www.cba.org/cba/cle/pdf/Bellissimo.pdf

Bellissimo's firm is a good one. The document is a bit dense (I found it a fascinating bit of reading) but it explains the legal basis for Mandamus and gives an example of how it was used in an immigration setting.

Mandamus is not generally something one can file for on one's own.

I havent seen anyone here in recent times who has gotten second stage approval. First stage assessment seems to be going quite within the time frame of 6 months. But second stage is moving slower than a snail
