I applied in August 2011 and got AIP in June 2012.

Hi, I applied july 2011 got AIP november 2011 , they lost my Medical check i did finally again this week (i sentido a couple times the receipt of the other Medical check but they cant find it) still waiting... How long can take it?

Usually 2-4 months.

You can pay it at any time prior to landing. At some point it will become a blocking issue. For inland applications, I know that some local offices allow you to pay it the day you land at their office.

I have the exact timeline as you.....Ive not heard anything since AIP.Although my file was transferred in Oct 2012 to my local office (Montreal) for further 2nd stage assessment.I have yet to come across someone, who's file got transferred for further assessment after they received AIP.HAS ANYONE HEARD OF THIS BEFORE???. PLEASE, IT WOULD BE A GREAT HELP, TRANSFER AFTER AIP FOR FURTHER ASSESSMENT.....ANYONE???????..

There are quite a few of us waiting for second stage after receiving AIP in the fall.
It seems as if there is finally movement on at least some of our cases. So you're not alone. I was hoping for an earlier answer, but it probably won't be until we start hitting that 8 month deadline that we see some real action. How I'd like to be wrong.

Still waiting here as well. My Ecas doesn't even show that my meds were received, even though I redid them a week after I got AIP in September. Frustrating to read the news that scammers got PR in the meantime and are leaving their Brampton wives three days after landig...
