That's great, put my mind at easevinlander said:Actually it is not a PR interview, it is a Landing interview that comes after decison made on PR.
A letter or email informing decision has been made and that local office will contact you will be sent.
The local office will send you a letter for your landing appointment.
At the landing appointment you have to answer very simple questions (not really an interview) you will get your confirmation of Permanence Residence (COPR) and your PR card will be sent through mail after that...(expect min 6 to 8 weeks). We landed on Nov 27th and we still wait that damn card... :
If my wife had committed any crime since she was in Canada and if she had dependencies back in her country, it is pretty much it.kennystewart80 said:That's great, put my mind at ease
What they ask you?
They will ask you if you are still married, if you have any undeclared kids, have you committed any crime, and ask you to verify all your information on the COPR is accurate then ask you to sign the paper. That's pretty much it really. They also go through some responsibility as a permanent resident with you. I would make sure they have a mailing address for you for the permanent residence card as well. As with my situation, they have been sending me correspondence through mail and when it comes to time to send the PR card some how they didn't have an address on file for me. So I waited and waited for 60 days then I called and they informed me they don't have an address for me.kennystewart80 said:That's great, put my mind at ease

Did you pay for your PR Card when you first applied? I paid for it when I applied hoping to speed things up, my best friends wedding is in Spain in June so I'm hoping to make itpcheng said:They will ask you if you are still married, if you have any undeclared kids, have you committed any crime, and ask you to verify all your information on the COPR is accurate then ask you to sign the paper. No unfortunately I didn't. I was pretty broke back then so I waited for them to request my medical and I paid the landing fee when I went to the landing interview. The interview is just basically to make sure you are who you are and to make sure nothing has changed since the beginning of the application process. You should make the wedding in time. However just make sure on eCAS they have a mailing address for you.kennystewart80 said:Did you pay for your PR Card when you first applied? If you check on your eCAS, you will see if you have a current mailing address for CIC.vinlander said:I do hope they have not done the same for us, its been over 60 days now
If we don't receive it today I will call for sure...
Yeah we do have our current mailing address showing on Ecas, but we still have not received it today and it is been 64 days now.pcheng said:If you check on your eCAS, you will see if you have a current mailing address for CIC.
Hi torontoinlander, torontoinlander said:It's been a bit over 7 months since my AIP.
For those who are still waiting for 2nd stage approval from 2011 applications, what do call centre agents and FOSS notes tell you?
In my case, my 'background check' has not been cleared according to call centre agents, and my 'criminality check' has not been even updated since October 2011 according to FOSS notes.
Can anyone please share your own reasons why your application is not finalized yet?
Should I be worried that my 'background check' is not completed at this time of the application? Can it be done soon?
Thanks
