Hey, Naz
when your file was transferred to local office did you have an interview with them? if yes what happened? did they approve it? sometimes they let you know right away if you are approved and sometimes not. they were most likely satisfied with the local interview since they asked you for police certificate recently, you shouldn't be too far off hopefully.

best of luck!

Hey there,

I have not had any interview they only asked about police certificate however I sent a doc letter for my wife as she is expecting twins next week. So there should not been an issue with resltionship.

Good luck with you guys too.

Naz

whew!!!!!, mine is suddenly changed to In Progress today too, I was about asking you guys but seem like all of us got it.
I will have landing interview on Nov 26. Thanks guys for sharing the experiment.

haha lol even my e-cas now says "in process" instead of "DM" even though I've already had my landing interview and am a PR already :o :o :D

when I spoke to a CIC CCA a while back she mentioned they are working very hard to clear up all the backlogs from 2011. so hopefully all of you guys that are waiting from 2011 especially the guys who have been waiting from early 2011 will get a good happy news soon before the end of the year! i'm crossing my fingers for you guys.

Thank you for your insight and encouragement. We are waiting about 8 months since AIP...and we have applied in February 2011. I am positive that we will have an answer by the end of the year and hopefully for everyone too!

They received it May 10th

My wife was discussing today about the landing process with other immigrants where she is attending her french class in Montreal.
Two of them: one from Japan and another from USA told her they had to send their passport to the local office prior to the landing interview?
Their passport was then given back to them at the local office when they landed...

First time I hear about this so I wanted to know if anybody was aware of such thing?
Thing is I don't know if these people had any passport renewed "during" their process as my wife was not asking too much questions

I read your post and i checked my ecas right away, we're the same! under my husband's and mine, permanent residence application status: in process, before it was decision made, but the message when you click is the same. I wonder if MDNA and Vinlander experience the same...

Hi,

my ecas never changed to DM actually... it still says in process even after receiving DM via email.

i know my overall process has been pretty fast (7 months), but i want to land already! i am finding this the hardest time of all. i want to go home for the holidays and i can't make any plans until i have a landing date!

Hi,

My landing interview is scheduled on November 22. I was never asked to send my passport. However, did these people apply through the family class program ?
I have 2 friends who applied for PR using the nominee program and they also had to send their passports.

If you are really worried, maybe call CIC, but I believe everything is fine. As I said, I have a scheduled date for my landing interview and was not asked to send my passport
