Fingers crossed on ur step 2!!! The worst part is gone :) :)

Dont worry yours will come soon! I see you are from september 2011 - we were way back from MAY!! We had the worst luck - first they lost our application then we had to resend it in July 2011 etc etc. for the longesttime we didnt hear anything and call center kept saying processing aplications from April so we went to our local MP this summer in July and through their request for update we found out our application was actually put on hold until september as they needed further information but we never got any letter, emails OR calls...which was so frustersting. So we sent the additional documents through the MP Sometime in July and it sat there unreviewed at Vegreville until Oct 19th. Then it was finally reviewed an AIP issued yesterday. I cant describe how emotional this struggle has been but I am just thankfull its nearing completion.... Its hard when your life is left in someones hands who is there collecting a paycheque and not caring about peoples life while our file sat there collecting dust for no reason at all. :(.

I wish you the best of luck and hope you hear some good news very shortley!!!

just a quick update for the ppl who are aware of my situation.....just got an update on my ecas.....it noe says medical results have been received.....still waiting on the montreal office to contact me with regards to that letter i got after aip which stated that tbemontreal office might contact me for an interview or to request further information.........do u guys think once i provide montreal with wht they need......will my file go back to vegreville.....or will montreal call me for a landing interview directly?

Thank you for your reply! Well at least now you can enjoy your pregnancy :)
I hope to hear something soon...now it has really been long, I hate doing nothing and not being able to see my family.
CIC received my further info on August 7th, so if you sent it in July, my moment should be close, or at least I hope so :)

Please, keep me updated on your stage 2, I heard few people who received step 1 and 2 approved almost at the same time - I hope it will be your case too :)

If i counted the dates I believe 3 months exactley passed for them to open and review additional documents sent, which in your case should be by November 7th if not sooner. Have you tried calling them? I would - and keep calling every week because you are sooooo close! I know how you feel - its been so long since my husband could see his family....im the sponsor so I can travel but I old him I wouldnt go anywhere without him so we are sticking it out togather ;)

I havent called CIC at all over the last 3 weeks because I dont want to lose my mind hehe I am trying to keep myself as much relaxed as possible because I dont want this waiting game to be a negative influence for our relationship. We planned to get married in April and we had already postponed it to December because of CIC. I cant wait to have a normal life!! :)
As soon as I will get my PR card we have decided to go to Europe for 2 weeks and spend some time with my family who we havent seen since July 2011 :( Also because I gotta buy my wedding dress :) So excited!

Maybe tomorrow I will give a call to CIC I just dont wanna get upset if they tell me my application is still in line lol
I know my medicals are ok and in the system and I really hope to get both stages approved also because my CIC office is Scarbourough which is supposed to be the busiest in Canada with an average of 3 month waiting period for landing interview hehe my luck :)

Hey everyone,

Just want to give a quick update. I think I just got the letter for landing in the mail today.
In the letter it states:
" Your final determination interview has been scheduled at the above address on: November 19, 2012-9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Please present this letter upon your arrival. Failure to appear for this interview may be perceived as a lack of interest in permanent residence and your application could be refused..."

It was sent by the local immigration office.

So what kind of questions do they ask at this final interview?

hi, i may not be able to answer your question but just to share what i did. I paid my ROPF online last night, 2 weeks after I got my DM. I printed the receipt, now i am waiting for a letter from montreal. Hopefully it will arrive soon.

Hey Lyn28,

would you please keep us posted if you ever get the interview notice from Montreal? coz it seems like nobody is getting anything from montreal for a long time now.. Thanks !

as far as I know you can pay it online, but people who had the landing interview could pay at the office when they go for the landing interview, that's what i'm doing, the letter I got says I can pay with visa/debit or cash in the immigration office or it says if you have paid bring the receipt. so i'm sure there are other options for paying if in any case the interview is waived but i'm not sure if they would send you all the needed paper work besides asking you to pay it by certain date.

:)I think i got the same letter..

:(but i didn't get the interview letter after that..

lol that's why i asked about.... what if there's no interview and how do people do the ROPR fee and paperwork..

Any takers?

yes but I got another letter about 10 days latter regarding my landing date! so the letter you have is the confirmation of your second stage completion and you should get another letter from your local office regarding your landing date and in that letter also they will ask you about the $490 and the options available to pay them with.
when did you get your second stage letter? if you got it past few days expect another letter from your local office for your landing date. :)
i have the landing tomorrow!! butterflies allover my stomach lol it would be nice to get it done with and get on with our lives.

good luck
