Inland Application 2011

Finally landed in Etobicoke yesterday. I'm officially a permanent resident.
Thanks to everyone in the inland 2011 and 2012 forums for all comments, answers and help.

My complete timeline:

App sent : Jan. 25, 2012
Starting processing on : May 22, 2012
AIP : Sept 19, 2012
Stage 2 DM : Sept 20, 2012
Landed on : Oct 15, 2012

Total waiting time : 8.5 months

So I just checked and it has been updated to DM. The status says "A decision has been made on *** application. The office will contact *** concerning this decision." Now what? Should I be expecting a call? Should I be expecting a letter?

What does everyone status say when they are about to get the second stage approval? Please share!

does it say that under PR application? if it does it means your second stage is complete and they will either email you or send you a letter in few days to confirm, then later you will get a letter from your local office for a PR interview!

I have a quick question, did they stamp your passport or anything in the PR interview?
the reason i'm asking is because my current travel document will expire in feb so I'm get a new passport later.

Yes it says that under PR application. So does it mean I should expect another status update on eCAS saying when they send the letter?
BTW I applied back in August 2011 so maybe the others around the same time line will get some update as well.

no it won't say the date but if it changed today you should be getting a letter in few days sometimes it takes a day or two. sometimes they send emails. check your email and junk mail. I know you feel anxious now, I felt the same but you will get a confirmation soon don't worry you are at the end of the line

Okay thank you I will keep you guys updated of any status change or if I receive the letter. I am so anxious, it's going to be hard for me to sleep for the next couple days until I hear something back from them. I hope you are right about being at the end of the line because it has been a long line!

Same here,
As I wrote before,it seems like the July/Aug 2011 batch has a realy bad luck...
There is no sense that people that apply 6 months after this batch are already landing...
If it was one or two people I would get it but almost all of July/Aug didn't get DM...

I applied april 2011 got aip feb 29 2012 and haven't heard anything since then..

I had my new medical exam on September 4, 2012. Definitely didn't expect to hear something so quickly!! Now I'm just waiting to get an e-mail or a letter telling me what to do next!

Hi kitchener inland. Yes, the immigration officer stamped my passport regarding landing details. Took me 5 mins for the landing interview. But it took me an hour to sit and wait for my turn.

Johannna or anyone who passed the landing interview, can I ask one question?

- In the mail, they asked me for 2 photos, I just want to confirm, just applicant(s) need the photos and the sponsor doesn't need any photos, right?

These are the two photos for your COPR. They should put one on each copy - then one copy goes to you, and the other goes to Sydney, NS, so they can process your PR card.

So they only need pictures of you (the applicant) and not of the sponsor (since the sponsor doesn't get a COPR and the sponsor's pictures don't appear on your COPR.)

thanks johanna, do you mind telling me what kind of stamp it was? my new passport won't reach me until a month after my landing interview (my interview is on OCT,26th) which means my new passport won't have that stamp on it, and my current travel document will expire on feb

I'm assuming they're similar regardless of how you get it into your passport (or travel document). Mine looked something like this: http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8151/6960096598_938bc0fb15_z.jpg

But I'd expect you'd treat it the same as any visa stamped in an old passport - just keep it with you. So the combination of your new passport + old travel document including the stamp would be sufficient to prove you had landed. A bit annoying, but it shouldn't be too onerous.
