I don't think so, ECAS was updated to decision made and the email says "application has been completed" so it is a landing interview. I could be wrong but I think if they have doubts of the relationship and require an interview, it's before AIP?

Anyways, Congratulations to all who got AIP and 2nd stage and those who landed already and Good luck to all, I know waiting is painful but worth it!!

^^^^ That's what I thought

I just want to ask, when you recieve Aip with any letter requesting re do medical or pcc from back home pr copy of passport is it separate letter from Aip for sponsor and pr eligibility letter of applicant? Or is it at the same letter of pr eligibility?

is there any one who was asked for pcc and know how long they waited for stage 2 from cic
i got aip June 14
request for pcc on June 16
requested information received on June 25
laned fee received on Aug 1

until now nothing all i keep hearing in process am at the point were i think some thing is wrong

For those waiting for 2nd stage approval.

I called CIC, they said, they are waiting for officier to make decision on my case as everything is in line and my police cert is also attached and wondering how long more it take.

PS: got AIP in march, 2012 with police request.

Hello Everyone
I have just come over from the POS forum as we are considering applying inland instead of outland, due to the fact that St. Vincent now needs a visa to enter Canada and my fiancee really does not want to leave Canada and me. He is here on visitor status until Jan 9, 2013. We are getting married Nov. 10, 2012 and applying immediately following. My questions are:

1. Does he need to apply for extension or just submit PR application ( I think he is considered implied then)

2. Are medical and security sent in with PR like they are in outland apps. I believe the security especially would expire before they even get to your file.

3. OWP should be sent in with PR

Thanks

Good news for us, my wife just informed me we received in the mail her open work permit valid for 1 year.
On it it says: "application for permanent residency received initial approbation" (I guess it means AIP).
However we have still no official AIP letter in the enveloppe, lets hope it will follow soon as we need it for health card application.
I have a question regarding that OWP, there are 2 numbers one starting with a U and another with CC and both have 9 numbers following. Is any of these two actual SIN or do we have to apply separately for a SIN as she might already have a job opportunity...

hi vinlander, did you get an email of your aip? you can print that and bring to the RAMQ, that's what i did since it's been 2 weeks now and I haven't receive my AIP letter in the mail. By the way if you are planning to apply for your health card, bring your house lease as proof of residence as they won't accept bank statements/credit card bill.

Congrats for your AIP and work permit!

No email yet, but I read somewhere it is very common to receive the OWP separately and before the actual AIP letter...in any case it would be very strange AIP is not officially given when it is written on the permit letter itself but we never know...
Yeah, when we moved in Montreal last spring, I had the very good idea to add both our name on our lease contract so you can bet I will bring it

Hey Mingming,

Any news yet? I was thinking that our files got into the same officer hand maybe.
Did u apply for spouse or common-law?
Also what type of proof did u send if u don't mind me asking.

Thanks
