Hi people, just a poll.

How many of you guys hired a lawyer to process your inland application?

And did you send Police Certificate with/without the application?

No lawyer. Sent the police certificate from my country with the application.

I sent the police certificate from my country (which expires in 3 months after you get it) and from England, where I lived for over 6 months after my 18th birthday. I got my police certificate online and it expired ages ago. If they send my information to the consulate in Sao Paulo, Brazil they can access it online themselves. I don't know if they will ask me again but I sent it anyways. I had it all translated to English.

No lawyer. We sent the police certificate and finger prints from hubby's country with the application. Paid all fees before starting the process. Medicals were done 2 weeks before sending application. And lots of proof, video from wedding, pictures orginized by events.

No Lawyer here!
Me and my wife did gather all the documents requested by CIC and sent our application.
Thanks

No Lawyer, did everything and sent everything including police certificates, medicals done 1 month before the application was sent.

No Lawyer. Sent a big package with all required docs and the evidence.

Thank you SL, a big celebration with my wife and our 2month old baby tonight:) Did you try calling CIC and ask if you got 2nd stage?

How did the celebration go Ryan? As for me, I didn't call. Lets see, I thought I will wait for a week or so. They are working fast now eh...

No lawyer or immigration consultant since we felt our case was pretty straight forward as she also comes from a country with no visa required for travelling here.
I guess it depends if a case is complicated and may require more paper work.

We didn't use a lawyer either. Filled everything ourselves and sent the police certificate.
