Hi guys, my online status changes to DM for both sponsor and sponsored person on March 6, however The sponsored person only receive a letter that says that sponsored person is egilible to apply for open work permit. Anyone knows why?

I think is only a canada post issue. Most of us got the letters all mixed up.
I even got the letter for the interview before the one advising me that I will receive that one...

HI everyone! Can someone tell me if the police check certificates have to be translated to english? My husband received his today in the mail from his home country, and we were wondering if it had to be translated to english or if we could send it as is to CIC?

It should be in official language of the country. You should translate to English.

Vancouver office called with landing date/info for 2 weeks from now in case letter doesn't arrive in mail.

its very comforting to hear all these stories, where the long wait is finally over or nearing the end, its not easy being a "house husband" awaiting for AIP,my stomaches in knots all the time thinking about it all, well done on all you finally landed.

Let's see when May applicants will hear AIP.. Im counting down the time, cause I'm from 04 June 2011 - starting processing June 15, I sent this week my new passport # to be updated on CIC system.

Congratulations Lyrical. Hope you get your landing interview date soon.
Usually takes 2-3 weeks they say when you call CIC but some people get it in less time and some in more.
Probably depends on your location ( ex: If you live in Montreal and they are sending it from Montreal, short time span ).
Great news for you and your spouse .

Does immigration start processing applications shortly after they r received. Seems like some people had their applications process started about 15 days after they were received. When do people
Usually get their client Id number so I can send in additional supporting evidence? Thanks

Update for me. My immigration consultant called me today and told me that he had some letters for us. I am picking them up tomorrow. I am so excited to see them finally and have them in my hand. I will let you guys know tomorrow which letters we got. I am assuming now that I am just waiting for the landing letter.
