You do need to get those! (Be sure to get the medicals at a place on the list approved for Canadian immigration. The CIC site lists them, including for Calgary.) You might want to wait for the medicals, though, as putting together the application can take time and if CIC takes as long as it has been, getting them too soon will mean they'll expire before they're supposed to.

If you don't have a marriage certificate yet, you need to order that too (it takes three weeks). Look through here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5443E.pdf for what other documents you need.

Other than that, start filling in the papers (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/spouse.asp).

Medical results: Get it done at the a day before submitting your application.

Police Certificate: They are valid for 3 months from the date of issue and should be filed along with the application within the validity period, and it take some time to get police certificate depending on ur country you have lived more than 6 months after the age of 18.

One you filed your application you are under "implied status" and even if your work permit expires, you can stay legally in Canada. Whereas, also filed OWP along with your inland application.

Hope that helps.

Guys, we got DM on March 4 and still have not recived not even one letter yet. Does anyone find these odd? I have been in touch with my immigration consultant and nothing has come on his end either. He said he is going to let me know as soon as he gets them.

Gemauru, we had one day difference on the chart and you guys landed already. I still have not received anything yet.

What should I do?
