Angus, I wanted to reply but the system wont let me. Not being specific, I got the same things in the mail. But I have not called. I have noticed a stark disconnect between what the customer service reps know and what goes on in Vegreville.

Hi, another newcomer in the Inland 2011 thread- we filed our application on Monday, Nov 28th. Let the waiting game begin!

Hi lyrical and canadiancitizen,

There are almost the same processing times and I applied from Quebec as well. The CSQ dated by 21st October. How is it going?

...Hi TU.... these are my updates:
This past Monday, we called CIC to asked them for an update and they received our QSC and Medical exam. We asked them how long should it take to received the decision made letter, she replied, as if she was reading, "the waiting time for Decision Made is 11 to 12 months"... our ECAS (hubby and mine) do not show anything other than the "in process".... I want for my birthday (in 2 weeks) 2 brown envelopes, one for me and the other for hubby... if not.. then since Im being good this year, I want Santa to bring me those 2 envelopes in the event that CIC is not ready for my birthday :-)

I had a talk with CIC yesterday. When I told a representative my dates she calculated time quickly and gave April next year. Haha... Once I wanted to know if I have a job offer on hand will it be a reason to speed a process getting OWP. They said that I have to apply for a work permit separately and go to Buffalo... despite in I can’t leave Canada. ;D

The same situation with eCas... "in process".

I hope CIC will make this present for you and Santa will look after us. ;)

Welcome to the waiting game Deutschbug!

Is Nov 28 the date your app was received by CIC?

Hello all,

I am new in this thread. I sent my application on Nov 17, 2011 and the package was received by CIC on Nov 22, 2011.

My wife (the sponsor) has a client ID # (the number on her PR card), will I be able to use her number to check the status of my application?
If not, how soon will I have my own file #?

Thanks all!

Hello everyone!
So I finally got mi ID client number... and I could log in online! My application was received on July 14th and they started processing July 29th... I guess I have like 6 months more of waiting >:(

Hey everybody.

I talked yesterday to an Immigration Specialist and what he said was:

- During the winter we should wait for a fast processing time, it was the same last year (increased during summer and outumn).
- Immigration Canada is already in the process of hiring more people since the "Conditional Permanent Residence" should pass as a new rule for 2012 applications.

He doesnt have an aanswer for the fact people who applied in July and already have their AIP. What he thinks is that those people are already working here, what would make the process easier to analyse (???) or they are like a "sample" for the efficience of the new form...

Is he right? Is he wrong? Have no clue. I just wanted to share.

Cheers

Hi everyone

I haven't posted for a while, but check in to see how everyone's doing. Congrats to the people who applied in July and who got their AIPs already - awesome news and I kindof wish I'd applied a month later :)

I wanted to ask a question about the ECAS system please. When I log in it says application received June 2nd and processing June 13th.

It says nothing else at all. I did receive a letter from them on July 11th asking for a small piece of additional information (an address for where I lived for 2 months 9 years ago). I completed the form and returned it to them within a week (got confirmation it was received from Canada Post).

I also sent in my medical check in February 2011 (so 3 months prior to my actual application)

There is nothing in the ECAS system regarding either my medical check or that they recieved the additional information I provided. I have noted that others on this forum do see updates about these things in the ECAS system. Is this normal or should I be concerned?

I tried to call the IO office but they weren't particularly helpful....in fact he sounded very crabby indeed! And basically told me to be patient....which I can be, but I would just hate for anything to be missing which would ultimately slow down the process....

It takes CIC months to update those info, and dont be surprised if you see all the updates done in one day... lol

Hello Scottish... do not stress about it, my hubby and I got the same, we sent the additional requested information, and medical were done the same week the application was sent.. we do know that the medical exams are in because the phone agent (I dont know what are their titles) told my husband... this is to confirm to you that when looking at ECAS it only shows dates for reception of the applications, date for the "in process" and nothing else.. no sign of the requested documentation or nothing that says that CIC received my hubby's medical... HOWEVER... keep calling... that's what I've been told to do... hope this makes you feel ok ;-)
