I called this morning and she told me they sent the letter yesterday along with my OWP

Did ur ecas change? if the cic told you, it is DM now, means u already finished 2 step too.

No my ecas is still the same.
It's only stage one because when I called this morning she told me the decision was only mailed out yesterday and the open work permit was mailed out.

My immigration doctor said it would be sent about two weeks until everything was sent in.
But I don't need to travel outside of the country right now.
And I now have a job and will get health coverage and all those other good things.
So, I 'm just relieved I'm ahead where I thought I would be.
Someone else suggested sending a copy of the medical exam tracking number to CIC when I get it from the doctor. I think I will do that, so they know that the medical has been completed.
Will keep you updated.

PS my immigration doctor said most new immigrant females gain about 10 pounds and most immigrant men lose 10 pounds. It is how we deal with stress. I blame it on the comfort chocolate.

hahahaaa its true at least in my case coz I gained 16 lbs. but that's because I was pregnant I am pretty regular in the gym to shed those extra pounds though ;D
I had my medical today and the tech told me that its gona take around a week and half for them to dispatch the report to the immigration as the blood work takes a while to receive.
my lawyer too suggested the same for tracking number and I will also do the same.

the E-cas changed to "DM" on Friday Sep, 28.

I called CIC Yesterday regarding the "DM" and asking when i'm getting a letter they replied to me " its still showing in process in our system and it could take months" lol so if you do call them and get an answer like that don't take it seriously!

so now i'm waiting for landing date letter

Mine just changed on sept 26th.

I just received my confirmation letter for 2nd stage. we both have very close 2nd stage DM date!

if you haven't gotten your confirmation letter yet you should be getting it very soon!! make sure to check your email and junk mail because some people get it through email!

my landing office is in Kitchener! waiting for the date now.

Hi Kitchener inland,
I have similar case as u. I was a refugee and my wife sponsored me, I had to report to CBSA until I got my AIP then I took that letter to CBSA they gave my passport back and they cancelled the every month phone reporting... I don't know how u still report !

when I got my AIP i took the letter to them and told them i'm approved to be sponsored but the person told me "you still have to report until we see what happens to your application" i'm guessing the CBSA officer might not know that I should stop reporting, or the officer just wanna be a pain to make my life more difficult, who knows but i have to do the report on in few days again and I will take my second stage approval letter that I received today to them and hopefully they will leave me alone.
