Hi guys

I would like to ask how the process of PR validation at the designated Canadian border or any International airport takes place. So, anyone who has gone through this process, I would appreciate him/her explaining few questions as follows:

a. Are you an Inland applicant? Which category?

b. Where did you land? -land Border or any International Airport

c. What Questions does the officer ask?

d. What documents are required to be submitted?

e. Does the officer goes over each submitted document in detail?

f. How much time it takes on an avg. to do the whole process?

g. Any estimation when you would be receiving the PR card?

h. Any other information that could be helpful for applicants?

Best of luck!

Thanks Wildemam!... Appreciate your help! :)

Toronto (Etobicoke) you mean at Pearson Intl' airport?
No - they are taking about the Etobicoke CIC office. You have to make an appointment if you want to land there. Getting an appointment can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months.

You can only land at Pearson Airport if you are arriving on an international flight. You can't simply drive to the airport from within Canada to land.

a. Are you an Inland applicant? Which category?
Inland, BC PNP EE

b. Where did you land? -land Border or any International Airport
land border - Vancouver, Point Roberts

c. What Questions does the officer ask?
Do you have any dependents?
Any goods to follow?

d. What documents are required to be submitted?
COPR and Passport

e. Does the officer goes over each submitted document in detail?
N/A

f. How much time it takes on an avg. to do the whole process?
in my case about 20 min.

g. Any estimation when you would be receiving the PR card?
6 weeks, I'm currently at week 5

h. Any other information that could be helpful for applicants?
I don't think there's much to worry about regarding landing for inland applicants. For anyone near Vancouver, I can definitely recommend Point Roberts - I did 3 border runs there, since there are never any line-ups. And you're even faster if you park your car on the Canadian side and cross the border on foot.

Best of luck!
