INLAND APP: WE'RE MOVING, HOW TO NOTIFY?

Hi guys, hubby and I are gonna move to a new place in september. We were wondering if changing the adress in ECAS was safe, or if it is preferable to change it by phone with an agent (which is not reliable either based on how they change all they say!) or if we should sent a letter to vegreville stablishing our new address....

You could do all 3. Change it on the ecas system, send them a letter to notify them, then call them to ensure they have it correct. Only thing I can tell you. I haven't moved and am not planning on it since we own our house. *shrugs*

Do all three, AND have your mail forwarded. Just because you told them, and it's on their files, doesn't mean they will honour it. It's happened on here where mail has gone to old addresses.

Make sure you do the forward mail of Canada post

to make sure you don't miss any mail from CIC if in case they still use your original address

Thank you guys for your answers! Yeah congrats in your house-owning! unfortunately we are not owners yet so still trying to find good appartments in montreal! we are two young to get a mortgage yet!
Anyway, i was wondering if i should also send a copy of our new lease just in case!?
Its a great suggestion to have my mail forwared..thanks ill do so!
