My partner got the email last night stating she is eligible to sponsor me.

Very happy, although there was no mention of the open work permit application which I also applied for with the sponsorship.

Is that completely separate or should I be waiting for an envelope with it being returned?

Is this an inland or outland application?
If inland, OWP is likely to be about 4 months from application date.

In land application, They received it on March 22nd, and the email came yesterday (April 17th)

Does the 4 months include the almost month they’ve had it?

I got my AOR same day as you probably same time around 7:35pm considering you said "night" mine was received on 21st of March, dude everyone on here is saying like 4 months, do you really expect to be sitting at your computer for another 3 months checking it without anything?, i don't think so if you reallyyyy have a look at the timelines there are like 2 months - 2 and a half some are longer but you have to look at the applications of recent back in like 2016 through early 2017 they were like 4 months or so, But yeah i'd think it'll be here sooner than we both think from my past experience with Canada Immigration, but pray everyday man it'll be here considering we in same boat i am too.

What does the email say if your sponsor is eligible?
My husband got an email that said they received the application, but it did not say he was or wasn't eligible.
He got the email April 7th. They received our application March 12th.

I’ve put a link to a thread that has examples of what the stages look like. You got AOR1, the SA (sponsorship approval) is something else. https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-i...-class-sponsorship-each-stage-example.522293/
