Hi,

I am currently in USA and will go back to home country in 3-4 months. Before leaving for home country, I am planning apply for FSW1 from here. I have few questions though. Please help me with those.

1. Now it is well know fact that usually FSW1 from USA and faster than any other counties. So do you advice me to inform about change of address to CIC once I go back to home county?

2. What will happen if I do not inform to CIC about change of address? I can think that all mail communication will come my old address and I am fine with that because my freids will be staying to my address adn they can pass on all CIC communications to me.

3. Any reason that you can think of due to which I should change my Visa office from Buffalo?

This will be of great help.

only catch would be that you would need to come to US for stamping personally because Indian passports cannot be flown beyond borders in mail.

and under the new process, a guy nitin***1981 on this forum has been asked for his passport for stamping within 4 months from intial application...

Thanks aanbaan. So If I understand correctly, I can have my medicals in my home country with the doctors specified by CIC. But when it will come for interview, I will have to taravel to USA.

Assuming that I can arrange my to travel to USA for Interview, do you think there will anything that I need to worry about?

In case I can not arrage my travel to USA for interview, what will happne? Can I request different interview location in my home country OR post pone the inverview date in USA?

a more appropriate approach will be to choose the visa office that is in your home country. i'm saying this because you said you are planning to leave USA in 3 or 4 months time. if you are more than sure that you will be able to travel to USA if they call you for an interview, you can go ahead and apply at buffalo. i dont know if you can request them to appear for an interview at visa office in your home country. you can possibly request them to transfer your file to the visa office in your home country but that will be upto the discretion of the buffalo visa office.

why to get into so many hassles? now that CIC is claiming to process all skilled visas in 6-12 months time, be optimistic and apply at your home country's visa office.

agree with ja77...

there's no interview as such... We're all assuming that interview will be waived off for us :) .. i was talking about the visa stamping...

i think, you should apply via Delhi... it'll be a safer approach if you are planning to come back to India in 3-4 months...
