Information regarding: Sponsorship and Permanent Residency

Hi,

I am a Canadian citizen living in Quebec and in the process of sponsoring my partner (with whom I have been for over 4 years).

We are currently undertaking a Sponsorship and a PR application for my partner.

We are doing it through a lawyer but lately he hasn't been providing us with any updates so I thought I would come on here and get some feedback.

Here are the information I have:

Sponsorship

  1. We received your application to sponsor ... on January 31, 2018.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on March 1, 2018.
  3. We started processing your application on February 28, 2018.
  4. We sent you correspondence on July 28, 2018.
  5. We sent you correspondence on November 5, 2018 - Letter to "Undertake Application" in Quebec
Permanent Residency

  1. We received the application for permanent residence on January 31, 2018.
  2. We started processing application on November 5, 2018.
  3. We sent correspondence on April 27, 2018.
  4. We sent medical instructions on July 11, 2018. To avoid delays, please provide us with the information requested as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
  5. We sent correspondence on July 28, 2018.
  6. We sent correspondence on July 28, 2018.
  7. Medical results have been received.
  8. We sent correspondence on January 3rd 2019. -> Letter to "Undertake Application" in Quebec
Following #8 (permanent residency) letter, we have to complete and send the following: https://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/forms/search-title/undertaking-application/kit-a.html

My Questions:

1- Once we complete and Kit and send it, how much more time till the whole process is complete? What are the next steps? When will she be able to travel / Work? Is there ANYTHING we can do to accelerate this?

2- I just got a great job offer in Toronto and we are considering moving there, Will that DELAY the application for Sponsorship or for Permanent Residency?

Any information you can provide us would be really appreciated.
