Information on moving to Canada

I recently received my Certificate of Citizenship for Canada ( born to Canadian parents in the states) and now I am curious on where I can find information on other documentation so i can begin the moving process from the states to Canada , E.G. social insurance etc. Also where would I find information on Drivers licenses and car registration and changing it from US to Canadian? Any help is greatly appreciated
Also i was told that my credit from the states means nothing and I would have to rebuild my credit in Canada any other situations this is going to apply to so I won't be "surprised"?

First, get a Canadian passport. Then check Canada Border Services Agency website for the forms you will need to move your stuff across the border. Then check the province you are moving to for DL's information. Moving a car from the states to Canada has been discussed many times on this board, do a search to learn about the possible situations that could crop up. It is usually not a big deal, as long as you own the car free and clear. If not, then it is more difficult. Your US credit may not be worthless in Canada. Some banks can check your US credit if you want to apply for a mortgage, credit card etc., if you tell them you lived in the states and you don't mind them looking at your file.

Drivers license should be very painless to change to a Canadian one. They have agreements about that.

For your credit report, print it out and take it with you when you go to a Canadian bank to open an account. You can also get a cover letter from your bank. You can also change to a bank that also has branches in the US and then go to the same one in Canada, that might help too.

Social insurance, you will need a Social Insurance number unless you have one already, see http://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/eng/sin/apply/how.shtml This is like the SSN in the states.

You also want to see about applying for health care as soon as you arrive. Some provinces make you wait 3 months, some cover you from day 1 if you are moving from another country.
