Hi,

Do we need to send previous copies of the application forms to CHC after being approved by CIO or you can send new forms with updated information and signed with new dates.

I have a question. while applying to CIO, Canada all the requirements must be completed like, IELTS, EXPERIENCE etc or not. I have a working experience of 20 months right now but i want to claim points for 24 months (2 years). Becasue i dont want to get late and dont want my category get away from 38 List. While applying to CIO you dont send any supporting documents so, CIO just check your at least One year of Expierence, NOC and NOC related duties performed. can i write my working experience of 20 months in forms sending to CIO becasue they require 12 months experience, if i get approved by CIO, they will give me 120 days (4 Months) to send your documents to CHC. here could i change my experience with new dates in forms and claim 24 months expierence and sign the forms with new dates, which was 20 months at the time of CIO, Canada.

Please Clarify my Confussion

Dear Ra00 my question is can i apply to CIO right now, as i have just 20 month of experience. do they lock the information provided to CIO and CHC asses the candidates uppon that information, no changes are applicabe. is it possible that i take the test after CIO approve me, or will they give me 17 points for providing the proof of 24 month of experience, while at the time of CIO, NS i had 20 month experience.

It is now locked at the date of application. They won't project into the future, you will be credited with 1 years experience. In the new system CHC will not be accepting updates.

It is not true at all:

Officers must:

• take into account any years of experience that occur between application and assessment,
and for which the applicant has submitted the necessary documentation (R77).

The above is for applications submitted prior to the new system, where the applicant had applied 3/4/5 years previously.

i don't see anything mentions that these information is for applications sent prior to the new rules. instead the manual date at the bottom of each page is (2009-05-08) and at page (9) it explains the eligibility under the new rules. where is the specific instruction at the manual that attribute these information to applications sent before the new rules ?

PMM is right
You lock-in date is the date when your application reaches CIO
You cannot get points for experience after this date

As per the FSW manual and Operation Bulletin, CIO's role is only to check the completeness of the forms and eligibility as per 38 List and relevant job and duties respective to its NOC. The years do not get locked as its the assessment by the local visa officer who checks the file. When the local visa officer demands the documents (120days timeline) and once they receive it and the V/O checks it, then it gets locked.

The exp should be counted.

and second thing, what to wite in the end date (5-1-2--8 to ------)column or leave it blank.

Assessment process at the Centralized Intake Office
The table below represents the phases of the application process at the CIO in Sydney, Nova Scotia Canada.
Phase Description
Initial Review (Completeness) Citizenship and Immigration Canada reviews your application to make sure that:
• all required fields in your application forms are complete, and
• the correct processing fee payment has been made
If your application is incomplete, your entire package (including your payment) will be returned to you with:
• a letter that identifies the missing entries and/or items
Eligibility Review An officer will review your application to determine whether:
• your application qualifies for processing under one of the three categories described in the Ministerial Instructions
If your application is complete and is being recommended for further assessment to a Visa Office, you will be sent a letter that:
• notifies you of this fact and provides you with your reference number,
• sets out some basic instructions for contact with the Visa Office, and
• instructs you to submit a copy of your application and all supporting documentation (see mission specific instructions) to the responsible Canadian Visa Office within 120 days (4 months)
If your application does not qualify for processing under the Ministerial Instructions you will be sent a letter that:
• provides details on the reason why your application is not eligible for processing
• confirms that a refund for the processing fee will be issued

Yes, and write starting from 5/1/2008 - upto date when i gave you the answer above i included the source clearly from the immigration website manual, so it is not my personal opinion it is their instruction for processing applications under the new rules. therefore, any one has different answer he must include the source of his answer clearly from the immigration website not personal opinion against official stated rules.

Good luck
