Can someone guide about the invitation letter, I know the content of the letter just want to confirm that on which piece of paper it should be on, is it the normal paper or should be on some government regulaised paper like we, in pakistan have a paper called affidavit. Also tell me that should my host attests it before sending me so that i can submit it to the Canadian embassy here or he does not need to attest it. I would be thank full if anyone can share their invitation letter obviously hiding their confidential data so that i can forward the format and the paper to my host. Also help me if i am missing something related to the invitation letter.

it's a plain piece of paper
the host can address the guest and cc canadian high commission
if you are being invited by unknown people or someone who is not a close relative or friend
they can get the letter notarized in Canada (although this is not a requirement, but could be done)
