Hello,

I had applied for my wife (Principal applicant) TRV in month of December. In the form IMM5645e (family information) we wrote her step fathers name as father since all her documents which such as school leaving certificate, passport have the her Step fathers name as Father

However the birth certificate has her biological fathers name. So in the forms for her spousal sponsorship, do I have to write the biological fathers name or the step fathers? How can I resolve this discrepancy between Passport & Birth certificate? The issue here is that there is no adoption documents. The only document we have is my mother in law's decree and judgement and her second marriage certificate.

Please help. Thank you.

Does the judgement give the step-father rights? If so, then send that as well. You may need to include a written statement/explanation.

Thanks for the reply. The judgement gives the custody to the mother. I am going to write a letter of explanation. In all her documents he is also listed as legal guardian so that should help.

As the stepfather never adopted her, she is required to list her legal biological father in all documents. She needs to include a letter of explanation about why she listed her stepfather in her previous app by mistake.

Thank You, any idea where should place this letter of explanation? Should I place it right before her birth certificate and passport or the end of all Principal Applicants documents?

You need to include LOEs with the actual forms they pertain to.
