Hi All,

What to include in client id section on payment receipt?
Should the starting date be exactly same as four year back. I mean I will sign on Feb 16, 2015 so cut off sate will be Feb 15 2011?
Is it good to add explanation letter regarding education and experience so that easy to understand.
Is work phone number mandatory?
Can we send two applications in one envelope?

1. You can leave it blank, or find the Client ID on the PR card
2. The requirement is to be physically present 3 years out of last 4 years. So in your example, if you entered Feb 15 2012 you good to apply (just have a 10-20 days buffer, just in case)
3. What explanation? Do you think CIC guys are retarded?
4. No phone number is mandatory; they ask in case they need to contact you, but usually the send letters.
5. If is a family application, sure can be two or more in same envelope. Its recommended by CIC.

Thanks. Additional questions.

- What you guys write for current jobs ending date, you mention the application date in "To" section of just write "To date".
- Can we add some notes on the applications i.e like to add a note about courses which I did for CGA etc
- Do we need to staple the documents or just clip it including pictures.
- Just info page of the passports is enough or we need to add additional two pages (may be blank).
- Do we need to give the copy of the page on which VISA was issued at the time of PR card.

Thanks era1521 for quick replies.

- What you suggest for T4s whether to include it or not. Do we need to give last pay stub copy at this stage. I am enclosing employment letters any way.
- I was doing CA in my country but do not have any letter or correspondence dated somewhere in 2011. In fact I was registered but did not attempt any exam etc. Not sure what to provide for this to support education for this part. I have stuff before 2011, would that be suffice.
- I hope there will be no problem in providing 2008 IELTS. Score are 5.5 and 5 in speaking and listening.

No T4, no letter of employment, no pay stubs. Send only what is required in the application guide and checklist.
Education records is referring to education you attended/completed in Canada.
I don't know about IELTS.

In the experience and education section, there is a note that you have to give reason for unemployment or homeworker. My wife as housewife/homemaker during first six months and before coming to Canada. I am not sure what reason will give for this. I just write "Homemaker" during that period. Is that suffice.

yeh that s sufficient. btw adding a cover letter with brief explanation of your circumstances, entry or landing in Canada, your education/employment history is definitely a good idea. I would suggest go for it, it ll not do any harm.

Do we need to mentioned exact dates in the work/education sections or the exact dates portion is just for the homemaker or unemployment portion. What reason to give for homemaker?

I would like to make a small correction here . CIC needs education records for you and your dependents in the last 4 years completed /attended whether inside or outside of Canada

Really? That is questionable and I think applies to someone who landed and then went for school outside of canada within the 4yrs period.
To be precise:
My wife landed Jan 2011 and applied Sep 2014. Sep-Dec 2010 she was doing a Master in home country.
In the application everything she filled in (address, work, education) started with Jan 2011, not Sept 2010.
Application was fine, we taking the oath on 18th.

I am still confused on the exact dates portion. Do we need exact dates for education and experience in applications or just we need exact dates for unemployment ?

Also do we need cover letter?

The application asks for just month&year under work/education. You have to declare both employed and unemployed dates. You do not need cover letter, there's no such on the requirement checklist.
