Can some one advise if i need to fill up the below forms for my spouse if i am not applying for any dependant Visa :-

1. Additional Family Info Form
2. Background Decalaration Form

FYI In the Generic Application form i have mentioned only 1 applicant which is me .

Kindly advise as i am confused since all people having spouses i know are applying for the dependant Visa .
I am planning to apply for the same 1 year after i get the PR.

Thanks in advance.

It is mandatory that you include your wife in your application. You can indicate she is non-accompanying (meaning that she will not be coming with you to Canada). However you must include her in your application.

Thanks for the reply .
Do i need to pay for the fees for spouse if it is necessary to include wife in the application form.
I have filled the Generic Application form with 1 applicant (without wife) and included fee only for myself in the fee form .
Is this correct and is it necessary to include in the application and pay for spouse.

Thanks

If she doesn't accompany you, no need to pay fees for her.. But you must include her in all forms and show the reason why she isn't accompanying..

As said before, you do not have an option of not including your wife. What you do have is an option to include your wife as accompanying or non-accompanying. If you include her as accompanying, you would of course need to provide all the relevant forms and documents for your wife as listed in the checklist, as well as pay for her application fees. If you chose your wife as non-accompanying, you would still have to include everything for your wife (forms, birth certificate, passport, photos, medicals etc) EXCEPT the application fee for her. As you can see, it is really not worth listing your wife as non-accompanying since it doesn't make the process any easier for you.
