I have read numerous posts but ended up very confused on the subject. So here is my story...

I am going to visit my boyfriend in three months. During my visit we plan on getting married(We have been together for what will be over a year by the time we get married) After the marriage takes place I plan on applying to extend my visitor visa(I have applied for an extension before back in 2008 and was approved by just saying i wanted to stay with my ex boyfriend longer) In my application for that I plan on telling them about the marriage and being in the process of the spousal sponsorship application. After I send off my extension, depending on how long they grant me and how long it takes to get everything together, i will send that off along with an open work permit application(I still need more info on that one and need to find where to get the application).

What order should I do everything? What should I say on my visitor extension application? What should the application for the sponsorship include?
Any help is greatly greatly appreciated. ;D
I am very very new to this taking only thing I have ever done was get a visitor visa and extension before but left on the day they asked me to. And I know it kind of blows my boyfriends head because he gets very confused about whats going on :( PLEASE ANYONE HELP!

Are you going to apply inland or outland for the spousal sponsorship?

If you are applying inland, then the open work permit application should be included with the inland sponsorship application. Your open work permit will be approved approximately 11 months after the application is submitted.

If you are applying outland, then unfortunately you won't qualify for an open work permit.

I will be applying inland. I was just unsure as to where I would get the work permit application. And if it takes 11 months to be approved once submitted. I won't be able to work or anything until then?

Also about the medical and police report...how do I go about that?

Correct - you won't qualify for an open work permit for 11 months from the time you apply for PR. If you want to work before then, you will have to find an employer who is willing to give you a job offer, that employer will have to obtain an approved LMO (labour market opinion) and then you will have to apply for a closed work permit.

I was looking at the application papers earlier. and on one of the pages it says to state my name as it is on my passport. and then when it asks who he is sponsoring i put the name as it is again? since i won't have a passport showing a name change? and do we need to have a co signer on the application?

Thank you for the links :)
