I have 8 photos but am confused how i should include these. Currently they are attached to each other because there is a date in the upper left corner, on the back i wrote in ball point pen the full name of the applicant/sponsored person. Any other recommendations?

I put them in a small envelope, labelled the envelope and paper clipped it to a larger sheet

so mine were not done by a professional photographer (so no stamp or date on the back) do you think this matters? again, the instructions are not very clear.

thanks

did you check to see if they match CIC's requirements? they're pretty strict with it (exact length etc.).. on the back, i wrote my name, date of birth + date when the photo was taken. like Becki, i put them in a small envelope and attached it to a A4 paper.

why didn't you go to a professional photographer? they usually have better conditions (lightning, background, etc.)

idk if all VO have same photo specification with regards to visa.

but in appendix B it says there:

- Immigration photographs are NOT the same as passport photographs.
- Do not staple the photographs together.
- Please also ensure that the photographs are free of pen marks, stains, ink blots and creases.
- Please do not write anything at the back of the photographs. To avoid confusion, label the
photographs accordingly on a piece of paper or envelope.
- Only clear photographs will be accepted. The photographs must not be blurred and must be free
from glares and rear shadows.
- Please note that failure to submit the correct photographs can result in a considerable delay in
the finalization of your case.
- Please have a new picture taken. Old photographs will not be accepted

hope this would help.

curious, my country-specific guide says exactly the opposite:

Supply eight ( 8 ) recent photos for each member of your family and yourself. Follow the instructions
in Appendix B: Photo Specifications.
Note: On the back of each photograph, write the name and date of birth of the person who
appears in the photo as well as the date the photo was taken.

apparently it does depend on the VO. through what VO did you apply, etaylor?

EDIT: sorry, i just saw Manila.

anyway, OP, make sure to check your country specific guide. find it here under "part 3 information guides":

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp#immigrate

@cutiepie92 we knew that we could obtain the photo sizes from the photo booths, so we didnt go to the photographer. anyways, i cut them with the exclusion of one with the date on top - hoping that they will consider this okay. and then labelled the outside of the envelope with name and item nu. corresponding to the immigrant guide for europe.
