I know this isn't the correct thread to post my query and I am sorry in advance. I could not find the right place and I am eager to search for the right people to respond if any. So kindly help.
I am PR since Dec 2019 and recently got married on March 8th, 2021. I really want to know if there is an indirect route to fly to Toronto at this point from Mumbai. I'm asking this taking into consideration every rule the Canadian transport minister announced a few days back of banning direct flights from India till 22nd May. Also, I am aware of the negative covid report from the third country while flying indirect flights. I need to get to Canada as my wife is stuck here in India and only when I land there will I be able to submit her spousal PR application. Each passing day is becoming like an added pressure on both of us.

That would be a difficult journey right now it seems. There are no recent postings about it here. You will have to research what countries are not banning flights from India. Whether they have facilities in the airport for a new covid test which is needed before the flight to Canada. What the airline's specific policies are right now. Things are constantly changing on short notice all over the world, you will probably have to do your own research.

It is not a good idea to use a loophole in the system. You might be refused to board a flight to Canada from another country since you are obviously from India.

At least you have each other. Why would there be added pressure on you both?

Where am I finding a loophole in the system? Canada didn't ban indirect flights. I just want to know if there is a particular route that someone has taken recently with all the conditions being met.

Hi Prabhav.
Any luck finding the indirect flight to Toronto? I'm in the same situation and I need to travel with my family. I see there are flights via Qatar however I'm sure if there is possibility to get a negative pcr test during this short transit time in Qatar...
Any guidance is appreciated

Canada couldn't ban passengers travelling on indirect flights from India or they would have. Most countries have also banned Indian travelers so that has made it very difficult. Would look up flights options. Countries like US, UK, UAE, Qatar are currently not options which are very common routes. Ypu essentially have to look for countries that will allow travel from India and start from there.

Cases are going down and the projection for June looks good so far. I would suggest waiting until June instead of getting caught up in the third country testing.
