Indian visa for American minor in Canada

Hi,
Wonder if anyone was in a similar situation.
My minor child is an American citizen and we are Indians in Canada on PR.

Seems like I can apply an 5 year eVisa for my child. Just want to hear any experiences people had.

evisa is not for 5 year. i think its for 1 or 2 months

Yeah I should. Doing that parallely as well. eVisa is for an urgent trip.
