Indian Students waiting (applied in oct or nov 2016)

I've applied through Chandigarh vfs on 26 oct 2016 under general category. My application got forwarded to Canada Visa office, Chandigarh the very next day i.e 27 oct 2016. I've done my medical upfront and submitted my passport with the aplication.

Linked my paper application online to my cic account on 11th nov 2016 and my medical was already passed by then. Application status is still Open whereas final decision is still not started.

Anyone in the same situation who is still waiting?

I've heard that they are not even replying the CSE sent by some people and some are saying that we should not send CSE or mail as many people are getting refusals because of that. I know that is not the reason for their refusals but still I'm afraid to contact CIC directly.

I applied on 16 Nov 2016 at VFS New Delhi. Haven't done medical upfront. Got my application linked with MyCIC a/c on 30 Nov.Found it is open & the final decision not yet started! The status is still same in CIC portal.Wrote 3 e-mails to delhi-IMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca, but no response received till date!My progra would commence in Jan 1st week. There is no where I can escalate.I am extremely appalled by their gross negligence on not bothering to even answer!

I've applied on 11th still there's no update except the medicals. Classes start on 5th Jan. Not sure if I'd be able to make it.

guys i applied november 23rd through Online application from chennai INDIA,medicals status changed passed before 10 days its being nervous does delay in application result in Rejection?

Folks, anyone here has got the visa approval yet? Please post it , this would at least give us some lead that people have started getting it. Its been 1 month now, I submitted my application at VFS New Delhi. Wrote 3 e-mails to delhi immigration office.No response from their end till date! Any idea, how can I contact them apart from writing e-mail? VFS customer representative has told "you can visit VFS office & can submit a letter to expedite the process ,in person, but not sure whether they will give due importance to it or not"...so I refrained from doing so.Instead I wrote them.
