You guys are being too hasty. Now that it is November/December and everyone is applying- expect it to take atleast 2 weeks online or 3 weeks by post. My consultancy has told me that there are a few cases where visas have been approved in a week and one instance that was sent online during the day and by evening it was approved, but these are much more rarer and usually during lighter load months (Feb,Mar,Oct). Wait atleast a month and if you don't see anything by then, then start worrying.
Also while there are awesome cases of visas getting done in days, there are horror cases like mine which happened during Fall intake- I applied on July 20th and didn't get any notice or anything until my VISA was rejected on the 9th of September. My tickets were booked, bags packed, shopping done, even my classes started on 7th and still I was waiting for the VISA and finally it came rejected on the 9th. There was another guy from my consultancy who applied in Fall and didn't get any response AT ALL. He had to cancel his application and reapply with me in this intake.
Add Info: My visa was rejected because - Proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of your qualifications. Basically I studied an English course in college years back and applied for a PG Digital Art course in Toronto. Despite showing animation diploma and 2 years work experience, it was somehow ignored and rejected. I am applying again with additional information about my diploma/work exp and hopefully it might get accepted this time.
