Indian PCC

Hi,

I have applied for PCC through BLS (sent via their postal service). They received the documents on July 29 and police verification was done back home (Pune) on August 8. I am tracking the status of both BLS and PSK.

Status on BLS - Processing at Consulate General
Status on PSK - PCC needs to be collected from the Regional Passport Office (Date of Application received - August 8, 2020)

Can anybody advise on how many days later is this status expected to change?

If you can get it from India directly, it saves much of a hassle. Many police jurisdictions are accepting applications online for just 1000-1500 INR and issuing a PCC online within 2-3 days.

BLS/HCI will send off everything to India, which is taking approx 3-5 weeks to get validated and then another 10 days to 8 weeks (based on BLS jurisdiction) that BLS needs to process PCC from their end.

If you are applying for PR , you need pcc from psk .

1. in India you can go to psk directly
2. In Canada, you have to apply it in consulate via bls

Hi, i am applying for PCC in ottawa. The indian address that i have mentioned in the application, no one is staying there from past 1 year as I moved to Canada an year back. Also the indian phone number that I have mentioned in the application is the one i have with me in canada and i only get sms alert and no calls. I am worried now, what will happen if the policeman will try to contact me on my indian number OR if he visits my apartment and found no one. Any idea what to do?
