When did they add new police verification?? I am stuck with my spouse PCC, however I have got mine pretty quick, Sent application on 14th May & received PCC & Passport by 25th May. But really stuck with my spouse one.

I think a couple of weeks back for Vancouver consulate.

Hi, I filled PCC form and i took its orint now but I made spelling mistake in Place of issue of passport.. Its Chandigarh but i made spelling mistake in chandigarh .. I have written Chandighar ..???
Plz reply if anyone knows .. what i should do now ..

I am very confused about the whole BLS process for getting an Indian PCC, I have been trying to get a human on phone but it is impossible and the emails to them go unanswered. I would really appreciate if someone could answer these questions, thanks in advance:

1. On the BLS Police Certificate Checklist (https://www.blsindia-canada.com/CanadaVisaCCT/Ottawa-PCC-checklist-June-2019.pdf ) it says "Purpose and Document for seeking PCC must be ascertained, official communication from the Concerned authorities" does this mean that I have to submit a doc from CIC saying why I need a PCC?

2. What is the exact amount of money I have to pay them (I am planing to mail in my application)?

So I have to pay: $34 (Consular fee) + $3 (Consular Surcharge) + $7.40 (BLS Fee) + Courier to Drop Off Appl ($20) Courier Fee Schedule Here (https://www.blsindia-canada.com/forms/CanadaVas.pdf.png). Is there any other fee that I have to pay them?

And on their website it says 'Download Purlator Label', I don't know what it means, do I have to generate a purlator label after I submit my application or what? Thanks a lot for any insights you may have.

You can call them and they will change it or on their website, you can raise IT ticket with all information and they will update it.

You need to call BLS and they will send you link to pay and ine link fir label after payment .. That label need to fix outside courier

Can anyone know how to track police verification status?? What is the process?
I have applied postal application at BLS Vancouver and now consultate has sent the application for physical police verification to India. How it works, if I have to get in touch with police station how can I do it from Canada.

Is there any portal to track? How Consulate send application to police station?? Will it be on line? Though email fax or postal??

Actually, I tried to police station & they are saying they have not received any as of now.

If anyone know information please share urgently.

I do not think so, there is any portal. They sent info you provided to the police station. Its over email or postal email if that police station is in rural area with no internet or computerized . They will call on india mobile you given. They may decide to visit or not. Most of the policemen gets confused expects you to be physically present as this police verification is initiated for passport verification. There is no pcc verification. I do not understand as why they make this process complicated now where covid 19 already impacted the timelines

Do you think it’s a good idea to decline the ITA and create new express entry profile and hopefully get the ITA in next draw(CEC) and additional 90 days to submit our profile. My ITA deadline is 15th July. I am not sure if I can get the PCC on time or not.
Just curious to know how long will it take once Consulate and BLS receives the confirmation from our district SP office that the fresh police verification has been completed.
My police verification back home is completed and they said they will send the details to Toronto Consulate by tomorrow.

Any inputs appreciated!

Hello Harsh,

I don't think you should cancel the ITA & wait for another one in next draw. You always have that choice to put it in LOE & attach the acknowledgement copy for reference. They are aware about the fact that PCC does Take time, so this should not be an issue as far I know.

Yes I am in Canada, I received my police verification email on 30th May and today the officer went to my home back in India for verification purpose and said he will transfer the details to SP office and they will further send it back to Toronto consulate.
but keep in mind, the verification process will vary from city to city. The rural areas is gonna take alot more time as compared to metro cities.

Thats good news, mine verification was initiated on 29 May and still haven’t heard anything, but it really depends on area to area, now I don’t expect those people there in India to do this verification quickly as they are simply same as here in Toronto (BLS and consulate) such a lazy people just simply don’t wanna work
