Indian PCC Waiting since last 2 months for CEC application

I am going to apply under CEC for Canadian PR and need an urgent help with Indian PCC.

Me and my wife we both are currently in Canada on work permit and we have gathered all necessary documents for our PR application except for the Indian police clearance.

We both already got Canadian police clearance. we both applied same day same time (April 2013) for our Indian PCC through BLS office Toronto. I got mine in 3 weeks but my for wife its still showing under process - it's 2 months today since we applied for that.

my questions are:

Can we submit under CEC without her Indian PCC and when we will get it we'll submit it?
or should we wait until we get one from them?

we requested to our parents back home and they got Indian PCC for her from Town police station - Is it valid?

We already waited for 2 month just for one document.

Please advise us for the same.

Yes you can apply without PCC and submit it once you get the file number . It is not mandatory to submit it with application .

Police Certificates and Clearances

You are strongly encouraged to submit your police certificates with your application to the CIO. If you are unable to obtain all the necessary police certificates, you may still send your application to the CIO without them. However, we strongly recommend that you take steps to obtain your police certificates now to avoid future delays. You must be ready to submit them when requested by an officer.

Note: Police certificates are generally considered to be valid for one year from date of issue; therefore depending on the processing time of your application, you may be requested to submit new certificates.


Btw: there is no need to submit Canadian Pcc with your application .

Dont wait up for the PCC from india, Just apply the PR.
I did the same.

Once you get the AOR , you would know where your application is being processed.
Then you have to send the original PCC through mail to the corresponding office.
